Working, I am the skeleton crew. There is a thick fog from off the Columbia river and I am contemplating going down and annoying the Major. My wife's friends will be over tomorrow which is the closest thing I have to in-laws since her parents both passed away. We spoiled the kids rotten and my 40K takings this year will be small. One Necron flyer.
God bless. Merry Christmas everyone.

It's Christmas in Japan. Nothing unusual at all for me, but everyone is wasted already and making a lot of noise outside. I'm trying to relax at 0330 with music and snacks.
I bought myself several hundred dollars worth of presents, so it wasn't a totally meaningless holiday. I do my best to make sure I drown out my loneliness and misery with lots of candy and energy drinks to make the most of the time I have off.

We've just watched the Muppet Christmas Carol again - it's the law, every Xmas Eve.
Our stench pipe took a battering in last night's wind, so am keeping half an eye on that and hoping it holds out til after the hols.

I spent the day delivery the last of my presents to relatives (through wind and rain) and preparing Christmas dinner. Now that that's done though, time to do something fun and play with my toy soldiers. Its winter, so I think I'll build some Russian tanks for my Chinese Remants. =P

Got the last of my Xmas shopping done this morning & wrapped up.
Just got back in from trying to continue cleaning up the mess that giant ice storm left us with...
Enough of the ice has finally melted so we could break down what branches we could & bag them up. Plus we finished bringing down a couple of pine branches before someone trips over them since they were hanging across the sidewalk.
I'm super thankful though overall, while our area is a mess we still have power, unlike tens of thousands of others in the GTA area who will probably be spending Xmas in the dark:(
Going to see The Hobbit in theaters tonight, continuing on the family 'Xmas Eve' tradition!
Merry Christmas all!

Been decent so far. One exception being I feel like I've been pepper sprayed after peeling 2 lbs of boiler onions for the creamed onions I'm bringing to our family dinner.
Got some paiting done, hanging out playing with my daughter, and just took a refreshing shower! Now to survive dinner with the family then it's smooth sailing for the rest of the year ;p

All quiet on the farm, animals happy and our new baby tucked up in bed waiting for santas first visit to her!
And me I'm just looking at my forge world wish list with my fingers crossed that when I get home from church in the morning I will have a fresh pile of resin to paint and enjoy!

My iPhone tried to kill my copy of injustice and I spent an hour on the phone with apple because it decided to back up with an incorrect date (in April). On the plus side, I had lunch at B Dubs and my waitress was gorgeous, sweet and chatty.
With the family now, and everyone got games. I expect a copy of Summoner Wars as my sister's bf sorta spoiled it while trying not to.

It's just another day for us out here in Saudi.
I'm just in from work.
At the start of the shift we split up all the jobs that needed doing between the Saudis and the Expats.
We did all our jobs.
They left theirs an went home because they were very tired.
So we had to stay late and finish their tasks too.
It'll be the same thing again tomorrow.
Seriously, a lazier group of people you've never seen.
Meanwhile in Scotland, my 8 montns pregnant wife is staying with my parents for Xmas.
Hopefully we don't;
1. Have an extra guest for dinner.
and
2, My mum doesn't upset my wife by putting her foot in it (again)
With any luck the internet will be good enough that I can Skype home tomorrow.

We spent time as a family today! So awesome. I cooked for 6 hours, then ate all the turkey, root vegetables and pie I could handle. Also a bottle of wine and a beer.

1. Go to FLGS on a 40K game night.
2. Announce to no one in particular "I have over 10,000 points of Space Marines".
3. Sit back and watch as some 30-ish Neckbeard who still lives with his parents not only disputes your claim, but goes on to describe his 30,000 points of Blood Angels and how he has been playing since Rogue Trader days... And yet you will have never seen him either play 40K or that army.
4. From here, you have several options. Continue the conversation, or just end it. Either way, I guarantee you will waste 1+ hour of your life talking to this guy. Have fun!

Depends, sometimes exams fall in the first week of exam period, sometimes in the second week. either way, it's a couple days' difference. I know a girl that finished her exam on the 19th st and flew home that day. I think people might have been writing exams as late as the 21st.... I doubt you'll ever write an exam past that day. In my experience, you get an extra week in holidays in January though. Stay on top of your classes, and your break starts as soon as exams start.

Uhh.... You... You DO realize that Christmas STARTS on the eve of the 24th, and ends on 3 kings in January, right? You are aware of that, right? That Christmas goes for about two weeks, after this whole advent business is finished?
