Speaking of:

The dinobot aesthetic obviously wasn't going to work for the theme of my army, but a few simple bits grafts made some big differences. Now if only he could stop getting immobilized in every single game I field him in...

Kits used were:
-Base maulerfiend for body
-WFB Cygore/Ghorgon for the head
-Sentinel legs (backwards) for the font legs (with extra maulerfiend hooves)
-DE Talos tail with a WFB ogre club on the end.

When I was filling up the base with blood effects, I didnt realize that there were tiny holes in the resin, and the stuff leaked everywhere overnight. Looked like I sacrificed a small animal.

It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. The Brazen Bull of Khorne looks amazing!! Very Khornate and amazingly original! I do think that it maybe needs some blood around the mouth or at least on the teeth

Thanks for the comments guys! Glad your'e all enjoying my work.

Finished painting my Obliterator conversione. I've never really been a fan of the melty-cheese terminator obliterators that are so common. In the fluff, I like the idea of demonically possessed weapons, which seemed like a good alternative to the obliterators usual 'lots o' guns' armament. Why have five little guns, when you can have one big CRAZY gun that can shoot like five guns. so when I saw the new AM Ogryn kit, I knew I needed to try my hand at making some big brutes hauling around nasty looking daemon-weapons. The kit was actually sort of a pain to work with, as the arms needed some shaving/greenstuff to fit with the armour plates, but I think they turned out pretty good in the end.

So much Khorne based awesomeness throughout this thread.

Those latest conversions are sweet. The terminator heads work perfectly.

I really like this themed army! And I also really detest the GW Obliterator sculpts. They always looks terrible in my opinion. Your ogryn kitbash replacements are awesome.

I love love love love the bases! They really make the model pop!

I’m sure glad GW is going to all plastic, so the ever-rising cost of white metal won’t impact the cost of their miniatures.

I made this chunky little guy and another, a while ago (I guess they really inspired the whole ogryn angle for the oblits). They were fun to deepstrike as single-model disruption troops, but I moved away from them in my lists. They just always felt rather lackluster.

Hmm, might be cool to have units outside of your conventional list, incase you want to use variations when dealing with different enemies and what not.

Finished painting and numbering all 6 of my maelstrom objective markers. I think they tell sort of a cool narrative for the theme of my army. the little brass-etch numerals are from secret weapon miniatures, and theres 4 on each marker (one per side)

And another of the throne, because I think it turned out pretty boss.

Whoa, how did I miss this thread until now? Absolutely amazing work, mate! Granted, I may never actually be 100% sold on Beastman/CSM conversions, but those daemon engines of yours are simply stunning. And those Ogryn conversions! It's amazing how perfectly those Terminator heads work on those bodies -- pure genius!

Looking very much forward to your next update!

Thanks guys!
The bases are mostly resin casts from Secret Weapons, though a few are made myself (using skulls from secret weapons). Then just blood for the blood god effect paint slathered all over them.
The throne bit itself is from the Khorne chariot kit (throne of blood?)

Edit: Thanks kraut! I follow your blog, and your daemon-engine conversions have always been a huge inspiration!

Whew, long time no updates. I hate taking photos, so I take a bunch all at once! Here's some new stuff from the pipe! Hang on to your v-scroll.

Finally finished up some Khorne Terminators that have been bumming around half-painted for a long time. 10 of these guys took forever!
I wanted terminators that were a little more martial "black-knight" looking, with both hands free to wield their weapons rather than the stormbolter/handweapon that stock termies have. These are a mix of grey knight and space wolf terminators, with various WFB chaos heads and weapons.

In between painting those guys, I made this little fella to use as a khorney herald of tzeetnch, or a culexus assassin.

And I knocked out a dozen of these flame daemons from puppetswar to use as flamers. That GW yellow wash is amazing!

Here's one half of the two blood slaughterers finished in all his angry, spidery glory. Made from DE talos torso, some maulerfiend lasher arms, and a robogear kit spider legs.

Lastly, here's khorney blight drone I had a lot of fun making from a plague drone, skull cannon, and some more robogear bits for the engines.

Now on to some WIP beasties that are kicking around the desk. IA13 gave me a huge inspiration boost to make even more crazy contraptions!

A really simple, but I think pretty effective helblade conversion from a heldrake. Basically a smaller version of the awesome heldrake conversions we've all seen before.

Another super simple but golden conversion for a dreadclaw.

I got bit by the helbrute bug, and got the urge to make three grumpy little ogres to use as a mayhem pack. These were a blast to make, the new helbrute kit is great for bits. I think they're adorable.

Frankensteining from my bits-box, I cobbled together this sneaky critter to use as a second maulerfiend.

And finally, a giant skeleton-king that I made from some tomb-king parts, and a crappy old terminator action figure. Figure he'll make a good Unclean One, or Ctan shard from that shiney new formation.

Thanks guys! Let me know what you think!
