Having to purchase models. If I could just have an unlimited supply so I could test paint, and convert without fear of washing what little money I have to spend down the drain

I used to hate metal models until I started pinning. It's a long process but once they're together, I never have the problem of them falling apart. Even pinning together a metal kodiak warjack. I had to do a LOT of guesswork and judgement by eye, but in the end everything slammed together. If I dropped it from the 24th floor, it would most probably stay intact where I pinned it, while all the appendages and head flew off into the aether.

Even God hates mold lines!

Image from Cassini space probe of the equatorial ridge on Saturn's moon Iapetus.

I bet he didn't think we would notice that bit of mold line hidden back there on one of Saturn's moons...

Painting in general. Yeah, I love customizing the look of my little army men, but I'm not even 'eavy metal quality and would much rather spend my time playing than painting.

Mould lines.

It is possible to produce kits without them, Japan/ Korea have been doing it for decades.

Not terribly fond of mold lines... but the part I really wish the game could dispense with is rules so vaguely written that rules lawyers can turn them around to mean more than they really should.

I don't mind building, painting, removing mould lines, trimming flash, etc. What I do absolutely despise though, is removing everything from the sprues.

Especially large dual kits, because I know once I'm done with my build, I'll have to spend another 15 minutes snipping off the other extra bitz for my bitz box. So annoooooying!

Buying GW models. Their are so many better models and lines of models for a ton of money cheaper that are so adaptable to GW rules.

Painting hands down.

Love converting and building, just wish id then wake up to find them painted as imagined in my head. That would be sweet.

Mold lines can stay so long as they paint themselves!

I have a big love-hate relationship with painting. I have so many cool ideas but can't really paint that well so it looks not as good.

It's easy to assume that people arguing an interpretation you disagree with are just looking for an advantage for themselves... But it's quite often not the case.

My biggest hate-on for the hobby is, without a doubt, transportation. Putting everything in expensive foam-lined boxes. Lugging it to the car. Driving to the gaming establishment, hoping no one stops suddenly in front of me. Lugging it all out to the store. And then doing it all in reverse.

So much time, money and dropped models. Where's my teleportation device?

I know right! Teleportation devices should be around for this already. Is it so much to ask for?

But yes, I'm totally with you on this one, I hate packing up and unpacking those cases, takes so long.

Absolutely! Empire halberdiers, i have great many halberdier state troopers who go to war with just wooden sticks. Because the business end is stuck in some foam case somewhere.

all the prep work that has to go in before assembly starts: cleaning up mold lines, making all the parts fit together properly, etc.

I think I spend more time shaving off mold lines then I do painting... and I'm a slow painter!

Mold lines. Nothing else comes close. I sometimes pine for the days when I didn't know you should remove them.

Finding places to put all my hobby crap, and having to put it all away after a long day of hobbying.

Also, all the built up spray cans! I still am not entirely sure of the best way to dispose of them. I think I have like 12 of them right now, empty, just sitting around cluttered :/
