Yes right.. the poor and starving were literally piled up against the gates of the Versailles before the French Revolution happened. Same too in Russia. If the government has complete control of the armed forces, it has to get to the point where people fear death from starvation and poverty before they will take up arms.

Its probably a Romeo, China sold complete submarines and the parts to manufacture them beginning in 1973.

Funny, while I was out I was doing some googling and this does appear to be one of the Romeo class 035 Ming variants, produced by China apparently from 1971-2000
