I suggest spending a week or so of light reading on Lexicanum and make sure you get a good look at all the cool models GW and FW pump out
This, so much this. Even though I'm pretty sure he already picked Necrons way before posting this (and the two duplicate) thread.
And " 40k Wargamer", after looking through your posted threads, you seem to really like to spam and post the same things in different sections of the forum. Mods have already closed multiple threads of yours, and honestly I'm surprised you haven't been banned yet.

Aside from the fact that it's really your choice in your army, to answer your worries about how competitive Necrons are, even though they have a 5th edition book, they still hold up really well. Just putting that out there.

I'm pro Chaos myself. Fought the good fight in words and deed for many years. Now I want to smash the Imperium and it's false beliefs.
They will give you plenty of fluff to keep you interested, especially because it's quite diverse and open to mixing or adding your own narrative.

If I were going to give genuine advice I'd say Eldar, but there are just so many Eldar players at the moment and I'm tired of them, so I think you should just say feth it and go buy $1000 worth or orks. Besides, if you really want to have fun, then come over to the green-side, we have fungus beer.

Orkses never lose a battle, if we win we win, if we die we die fightin' so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die either, cos we come back for annuva go, see!

This.
The world needs more ork players.
