Yes... I got that

Can you show the pieces from the turret, I'd like to see how it goes together to see if I could use my WW2 tanks extra guns on that lovely piece.

Some people don't actually comprehend exactly how oversized the Leman Russ' main cannon is. Shells of that diameter are typically found on Naval vessels

Note the top row cannons are about to scale with a LR Battle Cannon.. ie.. massively oversized.

Here we go Mathieu. The barrel is a female to fit onto the male gun mantlet.

Considering it weighs about 3 times as much as a leman russ due to all the resin, not far!

With that size round, the whole tank will roll over backwards, regardless of heavy or light.

For 40k nonsensical scaling, the bore on this thing is probably conservative though.. lol..

As it's based on the Chimera chassis, which due to almost no ground clearance would be completely stuck on anything other than utterly flat and hard concrete / tarmac, and would be about as much use on a hill or muddy field as a Pagani Zonda, I don't think the realism or otherwise of the recoil is really much of an issue Looks great to me.

Thanks to this comment, I enjoyed my breakfast while watching videos of the Churchill and the Matilda. While there are actually some photos of both traversing really rough terrain, their initial failure definitely proves your point. I still think the size of that battle cannon (diameter not length) is beyond ridiculous but that's personal taste I suppose. I find the battle cannon on the Taurox to be a bit more reasonable but I think most 40k players probably see that as waaaay too small.

Just so people don't get the wrong idea.. I like the design behind this kit, I'm just not keen on that cannon. The mating on the cupola though allows a cannon of my choosing to be mounted pretty easily, so I'll probably just buy a lathed metal barrel for a military kit if I end up getting this.

Hi Everyone, we are back with another release!

We are pleased to announce our Olifant tank hull kit. A 4 piece kit compromising the hull, fuel barrels and front mount anti tank lazer.

Priced at $22 each, or $40 if you chose the armour bundle which will also get you the olifant turret, side skirts, and trench rails. Why not pop over to our website and have a look!

HERE

*Pictures show hull assembled with GW's chimera tracks as example (Tracks not included)

Fabulous design and concepts meowwwwwwwwwwwwww~ I'm looking forward to see track bogie sets.. one that has side sponsons meow~
Yet. 'Olifant' ... I'm not sure if this name is copyright protected because it usually refers to a gigantic mammal in Tolkenverse meow~ (or does it comes from a family name meow~?)

A mantlet option maybe.. something to allow for the barrel to be changed out. I mean.. that photo comparision you showed for ground clearance should show you what I'm talking about. The battlecannon from the Taurox is a slightly different weapon but it's diameter is more believable IMO. Maybe have something like that but put a muzzle break to give it a little more size so people who want ginormous cannons don't get size envy.

Maybe not something as extreme as this though

So in essence a step away from gw type scale for the barrel etc to a more realistic type scale.

Give me a week or so to come up with something.
