As stated directly above, the reason Necron players are suspecting a buff, is because what we've seen printed is already a buff....and not small buff, fairly nasty ones. Just go look at them.

Actually, it hints on less than you think.

The C'Tan might not be able to deepstike, as the entire cryptek mechanic could change from the bone and remove the gear that does that. it might also change in its statline. too many unknowns.
And AFAIK the C'Tan needed a buff anyway, didn't it? its unimpressive in its current form (unlike his OP big brother. amusing really how one C'tan is too god, and the other not enough.)

The relics are strong, but there might be a 1 relic/model limit in place, making it a tough choice (not to mention the codex will have its own relic list and you cannot combine them in the same FOC)

Dev lords are also good enough on their own mate. they can chop good, take a decent beating, and don't cost that much-but being good is not only about what you do, is about what you let others do.
And they let wraiths mulch down nearly anything.
Saying Devlords are not good because their biggest strength is buffing wraiths is like saying a buffmander isn't good because he only makes others stronger (extreme example for ease of delivering the concept)

Also note, I did NOT call most things in the codex OP, and actually gave a shopping list of things that require a buff/fix.
But they things I have called OP, are indeed OP and need either a price increase, or power decrese. and many will likely get it. (tesla for example-see the "living lightning" spell. near identical, except not working on snaps.)

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

because there's a good chance you're looking at those Items in Shield of Baal out of context, no one knows what the new codex will look like.

HOWEVER going off the last several codexs that have come out you can start to take a hint and that hint is the nerf and bland bat are coming. Followed by formations that add flavor back in.

More to the point of this thread, only players that play Necrons would say the are balanced with a straight face.

indeed. what could under the 5th edition codex be awesome, could interact with the new necron rules in a way that makes it less strong. I suspect however Necrons, like every other army in 7th edition are going to see MOSTLY a rather dull side grade that brings them a bit better into balance with everything else

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Hahahahaha......what? Tyranids top 2 builds Pentatyrant and Barbed Hierodule + Triflyrant are possible 2 of the strongest builds in the game. Speaking from an TAC aspect Tyranids have some of the best units with Podded Dakkafexes, Flyrants, Biovores, Mawlocs, Malanthropes and a few others as well as excellent formations like Living Artillery Node, Deathleaper's Assassin Brood, Skyblight and Skytyrant Swarm, even Manufactorum Genestealers can throw a spanner in the works in certain game types. They also excel at Maelstrom with units like Lictors, DS Rippers, Obsec Gargoyles from Skyblight and Hormagaunts. Tyranids are a top army at the moment up with the likes of Eldar, Daemons and Space Marine Deathstars.

I think Orks and Dark Eldar have nice internal balance but as far as external balance goes no codex is looking too hot.

If we really want to go unbound....

Yeah no. Not one of the list I mentioned were unbound.

Indeed. The formation and multiple detachment sillyness is why I am coming more and more around to being ok with Unbound. I still think its absurd, but given what you can do with Formations, allies, and multiple FoC's, with special rules (often very powerful special rules) on top to boot, it's getting easier and easier to rationalize unbound

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Yeah but to be fair the guy who called the 2 list I mentioned Unbound is a bit silly considering they both follow the LVO format which is primary + one other detachment/ally/formation maximum.
