This is the best video game partnership that I've seen GW make to date. Every other announcement I've always thought "Really? You're going with that company?" but I think Total War is going to be a fantastic match with Warhammer.

This a million times. It's about time we got a game that wasn't made by an indie mobile game company and someone who actually has shown that they can make really awesome strategy fighters.

Still waiting for my 40k version but that probably isn't really Creative Assembly's thing what with all the guns and whatnot. Still, one can always dream

And by that you mean actual gameplay, not alpha or beta in-house gameplay with artificially high FPS rates, yes?

Interesting - and the trailer was nice - but I agree the timing is unfortunate. A lot of the characters mentioned in the blurb are dead now!

Andy Hall (ex gw) joined Creative Assembly to write for this game. In reference to it, he said 'we make historical games'

Ie, i guess it is set in a pre end times period.

The trailer was impressive. I look forward to seeing the gameplay.

Im curious about the chaos bit towards the end.
Is chaos one of the armies in the first release?
The list of armies is not saying straight out you can play chaos, more like hinting at the greater threat.
And yet it get alot of attention in the trailer while we see no elves or lizzies or skaven etc.

I have not played a total war game in many, many years, I dont recall any big units like wyverns and stuff. I hope they can keep the realism and balance.

I don't understand Warhammer Fantasy's attachment to the Lord of Change... Like...practically every digital game trailer that's the big enemy... Warhammer Online's trailer had the LoC at the end too. Now Warhammer Total War?

Slaanesh gets no love whatsoever.

Tzeentch is digital Chaos' flavor, and Khorne and Nurgle get all the tabletop love.

Slaanesh is the odd one out.

Yeah it's almost as if a S&M themed, four armed tit Deamon isn't suitable to sell games to kids!

Well played Sir, have an exalt!

Although, I wasn't aware this game was being marketed to kids.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

And as we all know kids, we should always judge an upcoming game (and pre-order it sign unseen) from the quality of its cinematic movie.

Point 1: It's a Creative Assembly Total War game. It will be released incomplete and buggy.
Point 2: It's a SEGA published game, so it will have DLC up the wazoo.

Buyer beware.

Thank you, can I exchange that for cash?

The Kids bit was just to set up the line but one would assume they would be the biggest targeted consumer of a Warhammer computer game.

Given it's a Total War game, that's unlikely.
