Hey guys, got some new stuff for you

All good things come by threes, here's the third conversion of this model in this forum xD Thanks to Rollingawaythestone and Ynneadwraith for inspiration Got the model Friday, build it yesterday, cut off some of the amour blades and put on some bling bling. Started painting and finished it today because I really had to procrastinate

As mentiond somewhere else I'm goin to build up a small Ynnari force and this model is the first for it. I'll use her as a Shadowseer. The idea behind the army is, that I want to show models that are making a soulburst action at the moment. I want to have some ghostly energy flowing through the model (or something like that...). The colour scheme will be a bit lighter than my Void Dragons, maybe close to the scheme in the DoW III trailer.

This girls are still WIP. No conversions, I just like the models much more than the current ones.

Hope you like them, C&C welcome

Your Shadow seer conversion looks fantastic. I love the play between the red cloak and the light blue swirls of ghostly energy. Oh and there are actually four of this conversion on Dakka, Gummyofallbears did a nice version of it too.

Nice Shadowseer! I love the extra soulstones you've added and your ethereal glow effects look excellent!

Edit: Also - once Ynneadwraith and gummyofallbears are done painting their Shadowseer conversions (and me! I need to finish too), I would love to make a thread and post all of our conversions on Painting and Modeling Showcase.

Wow, again one month ago... Thank you for the great response!

@rollawaythestone: Count me in too (if it's not to late x)), nice idea.

There was a little progress since my last post. The banshees are finished and a fellow of Yvraine too... First the banshees:

The Visyrch is my first finished model of Triumvirate. Today I'll soften the blending on the blade (the back side is already smooth -.-). Pretty cool sculpt althoug I cut off some smaller details, e. g. the spike on the helmet. The color scheme should more refer to my Commorrites than to my CWE/Corsairs.

Hope you guys like 'em

There is so much to love here. Your troupe master made me laugh out loud, your banshees are great and Vissy the Visarch looks incredible.

What parts did you use for your lady Archon?

Lovin the Banshees and that Visarch is looking great. I especially love what you're doing with his cloak.

Very very nice! I love the sort of jade-statue look he has about him, and the little freehand on the cloak is excellent

Hey guys, thank you so much!
I wanted him to look like the guy staying in the background, come foreward to kill someone and then to step back. The 'look-at-me-I'm-the-mighty-protection-paladin'-look wouldn't fit to my eldar x)

@goblin: The troupe master is my favorite model of my collection^^ The lady archon is made of the following parts:
Head - Lelith Hesparex
Torso - vampire lady on coven throne
Right arm - harlequin troupe
Husk blade - DE archon
Left arm - DE wyches
Legs - DE archon
Belt with vials, grenades - DE scourges
Masc - harlequin troupe
tarbard - GS

For today I just got some little progress, two WIPs of my current projects. First Yvraine, again I cut down some details:

Something big is coming... This will take some more time:

Huh, that's exactly what I did to my Yvraine! Great minds think alike

Then I managed to mess her up a little too much (first time that's happened) so she's been scavenged for bits. I'll have to get another one I think...

Well, there's no progress painting Yvraine since the last update, except that I glued hair hair for the third time... She is so fragile -.-
@YW: I think that never happend to me but I fear it everytime I do some greater coversions^^ e.g. a Wraithknight or something like that

@I_F: I was so too, but now excitement dropped when I started painting. For some parts I just don't know which colours I should use (head, shield, axe).

@Can you guys give me some advise? I'm thinking about stripping off the shield and eventually the head. The shield is too much I think and the white head could catch the focus (which isn't bad) but it doesnt convince my 100%...

Here are some WIP pics:

Yvraine is looking sweet.

I like the head, but without bone/white as a tertiary colour elsewhere, it looks a bit alone among all the greyish colouring. The shoulder weapons are also bone, but they're also up-top, so they don't help.

I think that's why you're unimpressed with the shield as well - it's just another piece of white, while the whole rest of the piece is grey.

So I would have some spot bone colouring elsewhere, such as a greave(/s?) or a kneepad or something, in order to bring across the head's colouring and so it is less alone.

The shield would probably be fine if the pattern itself was in a contrasting colour, but you're right that it's too much bone right now.

(and of course, having said all this, plenty of big pieces look great with the head/the eye-catching part/whatever in a massively contrasting colour from the rest, so take this with some salty grains)

I definitely like it

I do think goblinpaladin's hit the nail on the head though. A couple more bone coloured plates dotted around would help tie in that colour to the rest of the model. Perhaps just one of the kneepads (maybe with a black rune freehanded on?).

I really like the fade you've got on the shield too that's excellent

Wow, after more than one year I got some new pictures from my Dark Eldar

Since the last post I had to find my motivation back for spending time on my Dark Eldar. At the latest with the announcement of the new codex it came back to me... But there shall be changes... This time I'll repaint step by step my whole DE army xD I tested a lot of color schemes and lastely choosed a metallic blue/green as main color. These are the first results:

Archon

Incubi

Khymerae

Venoms

Spoiler:

Razorwing Jetfighter

Spoiler:

That's it for now. The next models will be another archon and some kabalites. The kabalites (5 of them) are waiting for 3 weeks now to be finished but there's always something more interesting to paint xD Let me know what you thonk about the new scheme, c&C welcome

The metallic blue/green is sweet, with great added pop from gems and things Dig the canopy work as well, very nice pseudo hex grid (I think that's what it is?)

Props on the PW not-khymerae
