Eyegasm... hnng...ergh, bleh. *Dies*

Also, good on you for the polite page bump Az.

Edit: Phutarf, what would it cost to commission a single tactical marine model from you?

Thanks Azazelx - typical I'd end up with the page bump after the pic lol

Stormwall - sorry, I don't to commissions - mostly because I'm not up to that standard, but also I take soooooooo long to paint anything I'd never be able to keep clients happy (plus I have masses of my own stuff to paint, let alone anyone else's!)

Great looking contemptor Phutarf!
You managed to convince me that a clean(-ish) Death Guard can still look cool

Nice overall mix with the Dusk Raiders
And the marble effect looks good, if a bit grainy - but that might be just my display

Looking forward to Abbadon's DG colours

And to ask - how much of this is airbrushed?
Someday, I want to be half as good as that.

Thanks Jeff - total amount airbrushed = 0%. I'm afraid I'm too old and set in my ways to own such a tool! So all done by good old fashioned brush work...

I hadn't actually see that finished contemptor must have missed your posts some how :(, awesome work tho, even if it was some time ago now.

I do dike what you are doing on the dark imperium plague marines, especially the disgustingly vivid paint job on that blight / bloat drone. All with your usual green & beige.

Brilliant work, your style is wonderful and so inspiring.

That last face is so funny though, struggle to take him serious. Fantastic paint job, just the expression, looks like he just had something shoved somewhere it should not be!

That green is amazing, but that eyeball on the Knight's head is just amazing. Attention to detail on such a large model is quite impressive!

It’s a remarkably small eye for such a large piece....

nerdfest09 wrote:Very cool! well worth the wait to see things like that take shape ;-) like mentioned, your green is lovely! did you stipple and wash to get that look? it's very nice.

Yep. Tried stippling for the first time as my ‘usual’ painting method didn’t work out well on a larger model. As it turns out, it turned out pretty darn well!

Snrub wrote:That green is...

Freehand. I hate freehand, so really pleased this came out as well as it did!

Just a shame I never got round to finishing it. Sadly now dissembled and in a box, forlornly awaiting time and space to complete it...

tell me about it! I keep telling myself I should finish a project before starting a new one, but....
