Thanks, guys. Appreciate you taking the time, I know marines aren't all that different and exciting.

I've mainly been working on my Deathwatch of late, but I have finished the final two devastators of my heavy bolter squad and I took the time to re-paint the Heavy Bolter Tarantula so it matched the drker scheme of the Lascannon one.

I'm furious I haven't seen this before.

At first I thought the white was flat, then I realised it was just extremely subtle. The almost chalk-porcelain like finish on your whites make these figures literally explode to the eye.

I love it, I too mostly hobby for the visual-ness and your conversions are scheme are top notch! Awesome man.

Today I bring a new old thing. One of my favourite sculpts, one of the first things I painted upon coming back to the hobby in 2011, given a bit of a spruce up.

Before Sprucing:

After Sprucing

Also a jump pack librarian from 2014 (I think):

Monkeh - thank you very much, glad you like what you see.

Manu Miniatures - a compliment from you means a lot, cheers.

sonny2dap - thanks, man. I'd never thought of it like that, but they are bit eh?

I don't know that I can think of anything constructive to add, but every one of these models looks fantastic.

Honestly scrolling through these makes me get the urge to finish up some marines that have been pleading for paint for a couple months now

Facts are chains that bind perception and fetter truth. For a man can remake the world if he has a dream and no facts to cloud his mind.

Here's a Captain I just finished:

And a trio of assault marines I finished earlier this year to join a half assault squad I did over '14/'15

Looking at the pics now, it would seem I under-shaded the white by just using Ghosty Grey. You can probably tell that these were done a while earlier:

Cheers, gents. Ubl1k, I hope you made good on that urge, finishing models feels good.

A bit of a gap as I did some other things and took a bit of a break from painting, the final 2 assault marines are done, so this squad is finished:

Combat squad of the most recent 5

The full 10 with models painted 4 years ago.

I also had my first crack at a Terminator:

i will be taking some shots soon since these last two assault marines mark my completion of the second company. Albeit about half of those models are old enough paint jobs that I'm not particularly proud to show them off up close as I have with others on this thread.

How do you get the line between the black and the white on their helmets so crispy?

Dull answer I'm afraid: practice and a good brush, but thank you for the compliment about the crispness.

My Tears have definitely been on the back burner for a little while, but I did a couple of things for them recently.

A new veteran and a chaplain:

There's a great sense of energy and motion in that marine with the boarding shield. It's good to see "normal" marines still being painted, and being made to look so good. And, of course, the porcelaine white is beautiful.

Great to see your Tears getting a couple of extra marines. Lurking on your posts were a big part of why I picked up the brushes again! The whites and crisp edge highlights are just fantastic!
