In the past few days i've finished the base+shade paintjob of the kastellans and on a kataphron just to see how it turns out. I've also started 10 electro priests.

The skin of the electro priests are so damn hard to do, well, at least for the first time. A few of them are a bit odd, but in the whole squad, from a few meters, it's ok.

Hey guys, today i've worked on these three models :



None of them are fully finished but it's a matter of a few things. I've tried to highlight the orange to see how it could turn out on the whole army. It turns out to be really nice, the two oranges are blending well together. It's subtle but still noticeable.



It looks like when everything will be "finished", i will have another round to highlight everything.

Today on "things that i have painted", i have tried to finish an electro priest to see how it goes. I am mostly pleased by it but a few of them have a bad skin, and this is one of them. Zoomed out it's ugly but in real life it look okey.



9 more to go, then i'll pain the chicken, then i will recieve cawl and paint it, then, maybe, two more dominusses.

Also, in one or two weeks i will recieve a mousepad mat with the same theme of my army's bases, and a bunch of MDF terrain.

I hope i will be able to make nice pictures of a fully painted army soon and finally start to play, after a year. Amen.

I've just finished my cawl. It was really cool to paint but i am happy there is only one cawl !

Thanks ! I am happy to have painted him so late. I have been able to apply everything i learned painting the rest of the force. He is not highlighted yet but it will come in the future. But for now the army is ready to hunt for relics ! I will fix the bases of the oldest models and finish to circle all the bases and i will start to play soon.

Of course i have more than that, and i plan to get even more. I want to be able to change the play style of the army and have fun with fun compositions. They are painted in orange after all, mixing all things plasma with multiple dragoons and more infiltrators can be deadly, i hope so. But it will be fun.

Hey guys, lately i have spent some time trying to learn some more or less advanced techniques to make my minis looks better. One of my weak points was cloth. Especially wavy cloth and the lack of dept, wash usage and highlights. So i learned to water a lot the paint and load the brush a tiny tiny bit to just tint the paint and little by little build the colour i want to by doing light strokes. Again, and again.

After some non warhammer minis brutally murdered by me noob, i have done my cawl a bit of rework. The first picture is before, obviously. Even if the lighting is not exactly the same, and the shadows are well placed by default. I guarantee i have loaded these parts with seraphim sepia and even if it do not look as dark as on the pictures, in real life the contrast is really big. You can see on the picture the shadow's darkness vary in the crevices. Anyway, i am very happy to finally know how to do this. From now on, i won't sweat by having to paint a clothed mini.

Loving the orange scheme. It really brighten up the rest of the model, keep it up mate.

Thanks, but i got a new project. So, no more Ad mech for some times. Blood angels ! I've ordered about 2k points, because feth shiping costs.

It will be way easyer than this army since i've learned a lot, i have way more tools to work with and spess mehreens are more straight forward than any admech unit.

Also, since there is so much less models than admech, i will take my time to finish every damn model to a level beyond what i have done with admech.
