I guess you probably can't get it in an area where they don't have guns.. but I used to use a cheap $20 rifle case that I got at K-Mart for my whole WFB Empire army.. it had a hard and durable plastic outside, soft egg carton foam inside, and was big enough to fit a full 2000 point almost-horde army I switched to a Sabol army transport case later on, and now have 3 different sizes.. that was before Battlefoam came around. I'd probably go with BF if I were to get something new now, but since I have so many cases and trays in Sabol's size that's the one I'm gonna stick with.

I find for me KR custom foam put inside a really useful box is oerfect. I have a few different size really useful boxes dependant on what toys I'm taking with me and size game I'm playing.

I have Citadel Crusade and Skirmish, which are actually both quite nice, and reasonably priced (imo, ymmv). But I recently got a Battlefoam PACK 720, and I f'n love it. Sturdy bag, foam is very nice (I got custom trays for my GSC and my Necrons, and several generic trays as well) and I have never felt more secure and comfortable with my minis when out and about. It was a little pricy for everything, but well worth it. I'm considering getting a smaller one as well for my Warmachine/Hordes armies. Now the Citadel ones are for storage and sale, respectively

I'm a DIY/ Cheapskate fellow, but I also store my minis on a 3-season porch and want them to be always cased and protected. So, I either make my own cases like this...
https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/362407.page
...or I use various bags (often big vintage camera bags) that I find at resale that are appropriately sized for sabol trays. Then I buy used trays and reposition and glue the pluck where I need it.
I also have a number of cases for large units like my 28mm mecha and helicpoters that are made from hard-sided cases (often old VHS recorder cases) with foam cut to fit. I'm really prefer hard or semi-rigid containers as my mini cases are often stacked in storage or packed for a yearly convention or two.

Someone really needs to do a poll about this. I'm rubbish at that kind of thing, before somebody tells me to.
I use KR, with fewer cardboards that Scott-S6, but a couple of KR Aluminium 2 boxes than shown.

Hello everyone
I know this topic is a little bit archived. I am just a mom of a little son who is into wargaming and miniatures. I do not really know how to use forums He is the one responding all the questions, but he is still too you young to manage his own account. Moreover, I prefer him to stay "log out" - if you know what I mean
Soon, he has the 8th birthday and I've wanted to buy him a case for the minis. For me, it is going to be a great idea as well, because I don't support having all his minis spread all over the house. I want to keep them safe, so he will not lose them
I came across this one: https://shop.army-case.com/
It pretty works for me, because they ship to the US pretty quickly.
I went to Felherr's website as well, but to be honest... I HAVE NO IDEA about this stuff. Could someone guide me a bit? I would highly appreciate any help
Thanks,
Amie

Hi.
Make a new thread in the "Dakka Discussions" section. Call it something like "Please help me box up my son's models" or something.
Importantly, get him to list them, and post that list in the thread.
Mention a vague budget you want to go up to. That will probably have to change, but this stuff can range wildly in price.
Post which part of the world you want to buy for, as it shows a Poland flag for your posts.
Does the case need to be taken out of the home, or is this purelt for storage? Carry-cases cost a lot more than storage cases.
This thread is liekly to be locked, due to the age of the previous comments, and the accuracy of the information in them. Post up that other thread, and we'll see what we can do.

See the admirable advice given above.
No harm done.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
