2 6-man Ogryn brute squad with Carapace, 5 with power weapons (mauls vs. mechanicum, axes against everyone else), 1 boarding shield, Survivors, Abhuman healtos. WITH disipline master. Because nothing say "screw you" like 18 T: 6 wounds with a 3+ save and defensive grenades that can mulch you in CC


on the opposite end, I'm almost considering a 6-man squad with all heavy bolters and the merchant princeling warlord trait for AP: 3 bolters that will NEVER die.

Unless they made it clear before the event that seems like a pretty big dick move. Did they make everyone slice open their models to check for the resin color too? I'm guessing a good chunk of the models that were "official" were from someone other than FW.

I'll go ahead and pretend that this is the straw that broke the camel's back for the reason why I'm not going to go to the LVO.

I won't go for the 40k side of things, but if you were planning on going for the 30k side, do it! I had a great time, and there wasn't a FW official or ITC complaining if something wasn't real or non-GW. And as I mentioned above, there is some wiggle on that "Official only" train of thought mentioned before.

Unfortunately with god-awful leadership - discipline masters are key

abhuman helots, shields and cyberaugmetics make for good zone mortalis units - t6 with 5++ or 4++ in combat..
