daemons could work for "Primal" too...they are physical manifestations of the chaos gods, which are themselves manifestations of the collective primal emotions of humanity

Should give this a go again. I have some Beastmen who should be perfect for this.

Are space marines primal? It's all I'm painting at the moment.
I can't even think of a good justification

How about a Space Marine that "got lost" in combat in a remote area? Think of him without his helmet having a wild beard, a damaged suit (most parts missing), trying to survive in a wild environment with nothing but his knife. Hoping that one day his fellow SM's come to track him down and save him.....

For that matter, a wulfen, or a berzerker (khorneate or blood claw optional) may very well fit-bolt pistol, hand weapon and bad attitude against the world seems pretty in keeping with the idea, even if they are wearing power armor. Bonus points for converting up something thats shed most of the armor too.

Edit: darn it, now you're tempting me to break my no-GW self imposed rule for this contest, and paint up my skaven-kharn or one of my rat ogre terminator kitbashes

Played my first ever game of blood bowl last weekend (cheers Feltmonkey for running me through it) now im in a blood bowl state of mind. So i was thinking of converting a few of the blood reavers from the starter age of sigmar box set. Get a norse team going. Also really tempted to get the game itself and churn out some face stomping orks.

Whats everyone else got on the table?

No clue, I was hoping for sinners and saints because I got some sweet word bearers that need some paint, but now I have no clue.

I didn't participate last month because I didn't own any minis that fit the theme.

I'm torn between the two Lobbas I need for my army and doing a properly "primal" ork boy just for the fun of it.

Krieg! What a hole...

Best I can do is Legendary, I have an unpainted character I assembled a while ago, none of the other themes fit with what I like.

Yeah, that was a fun game of Blood Bowl. Surprisingly few casualties though. We'll have to introduce the foul rule next time!

I'm probably going to stick to the Blood Bowl theme myself, next month. I'm thinking an orc star player. Perhaps a guy who is known to chew on ghouls...
