Some WIP of my HQ, Captain and Standard bearer. They're the FW set. While the rest of the army is MKIII armour, my vets are later marks, slowly shifting and incorporating some black templar elements.. Same yellow scheme as before. Boltgun metal for the trim, which I think works well against the yellow. Chainmail seemed too light.

Unfortunately, broke the sword. Also my planned vet sgt lysnader model before we jumped edition and he got promoted. Not sure about the dreadnough base. Army is taking shape.

Forgot to take photos, but Imperial Fists are now all trimmed up. May go back and tidy some of the linework a bit. Next up is the black casing on the bolters and basing. Looking good with what I have so far. Hopefully, the upcoming codex won't change the army comp too much. Pics soon.

Thanks, I wanted to do something a little different as it was mostly yellow panels and boltgun metal bits. Still not sure about the base. May just put a heavy shade wash on it

Haven't posted in a while, we've been running an Inq28 campaign and as the GM, I've been somewhat occupied. The campaign is called Wōden's Hunt and is set in Wōdenheim's only Hive City, Kharybdis Prime. Details on the setting in the spoiler tags:
Spoiler:
Wōdenheim

Wōdenheim, ηγ-class planet.
Population: <150,000,000,000,000
Planetary Governor: Julius Carolingian

Wōdenheim is a would-be Hive World in the Imperium of Man's Segmentum Tempestus and is a major energy exporter for the Asterian system. Over a thousand Terran years ago, Wōdenheim was a designated μ-class, or Feudal World, dominated by the Graeco Praeterium. That was all to change in 616 M40 when the rogue trader Polari Rotwelsch discovered an alternative use of local substance known as “wyrdstone”. The priests and magos of the Praeterium made extensive use of wyrdstone in their rituals and alchemy, but Rotwelsch discovered that wyrdstone could be refined to create a dense and superabundant fuel source. After centuries of relative isolation, Imperial dogma and power is tenuous on Wōdenheim, and often sits uneasily with Graecian customs and beliefs.

Kharybdis Prime:The Praeterium's capital city, Kharybdis, was a cultural wonder of marble fountains and perfumed gardens, where potters discussed philosophy and kings stood in awe of beggars. With the advent of wyrdstone, the city became the main point of Imperial contact on Wōdenheim and grew rapidly as thousands of residential and industrial blocks were layered onto the city with rockcrete and adamantium, blossoming into the towering Kharybdis Prime.

Notable areas: Lake Skylla meets Kharybdis at the city limits; once beautiful beyond compare, it has long since been poisoned by GAPCo’s Amphitrite facility. The docklands remain a locus for commerce and crime. Templehof is the seat of the Church of the Machine; a city within a city, the rise and fall of the various Mechanicum factions play out within its walls. The GAPCo Stadium hosts both the Blood Bowl League and the Ultimate Gladiator Fighter competition. The Rust Plains’ damaged air filtration system cycles clouds of rust and particles through the ruins, turning an entire region of the city into a nigh inhospitable wasteland. The Vaults, the lowest reaches of the hive, are riddled with Archaeo-tech tombs. Herne’s Garden is where the greatest heroes of the Graeco Praeterium are supposedly buried and home to the elusive TechnoSatyrs. Fort Fascio is the seat of the Imperial Governor; political waves that rock the city seem to crash harmlessly against this immovable rock.

Notable factions: The Kharrian Legion keep the peace on the streets of Kharybdis Prime, which is no mean feat. Though fearsome, they can’t be everywhere at once. The Wōden 501st are the Imperial governor’s personal regiment and they guard Fort Fascio.

The Imperial Creed and local religions: While nearly all the denizens of Wōdenheim swear fealty to the God-Emperor of Mankind, the Imperium is a distant entity and many aspects of the Imperial Truth have been subsumed into local culture and customs over the long millennia. The more rustic regions of Wōdenheim revere the Emperor as an ancient king and leader of the Wild Hunt. These regions are far more tolerant of mutants than is acceptable in decent Imperial society. The metropolitan Graecians worship the Emperor as a god of commerce, communication and travelers; and psykers are key part of their mysticism. While the Ecclesiarchy is determined to bring the whole planet in line with tenets the Imperial Creed, they have lacked the resources to do so.

The Machine Cult: The Church of the Machine is fragmented into a multitude of bickering factions. The Conclaves form the core of the Church while the Mystery Cults, usually secretive and community based, are more periphery. As Imperialisation intensifies, there is a drive for reform of the Church to expunge beliefs not in line with Orthodox Cult Mechanicus teachings.

Wyrdstone: Wyrdstone is a form of precipitation, like hailstones or sleet, that falls only on the Church of the Machine's holy days. It pools in underground caves and forms crystals not dissimilar from stalactites and stalagmites. Only the crystals can be refined into a fuel source, unrefined liquid warpstone is incredibly dangerous and prolonged exposure to wyrdstone in any form can result in mutation or death, but usually both.

I'll do a post on the warbands and the story so far once I have some pics together, the players have been encouraged to not share too much info with each other as they work towards their goals, only sharing what would be commonly known about their characters and faction, and since most of the players are in this thread so I can't give too much away for now!

In the meantime here's some WIP snaps of the Kharrian Legion, Kharybdis Prime's equivalent of the Adeptus Arbites/Officio Assassinorum:

I haven't posted here in a long old time.

During this time, I've since finished my Inquisimunda warband, the Ganzenwelt Anbaric Power Company (GAPco)
The campaign has since wrapped up, and my guys performed admirably

I will stick up individual photos of these guys later on

Spoiler:

I have since started working on a warband for our upcoming Inquisiheim campaign.
This is a mixed sex warband. Please take a look at two of the female warriors in this warband that are painted.

Spoiler:

I'll stick up WIP shots of the rest of these guys as I work through them

Enjoy!

I have not posted in some time, but my Admech army is coming together:
I've painted about 20 Rangers/Vanguard and Dominus. Dunecrawler #1 is almost done. A small Inquisimunda warband is about 80% painted.
Still on the bench is 6 Kastelans, Dunecrawler #2.

Meanwhile, I've been working on a new skirmish warband for an Mordheim-like game. I practiced everything I've learned painting the last year, and I think I'm getting better,

Meant to post these a while ago. Beastman warband for the Mordheim game. Mad science testing his creations and trying to create the perfect warrior. Whole backstory just happens to mirror the Emporer and the Unification War mythos.
