Zombies require a whole lot of concessions to be a challenge to the apex predator of planet earth. Keep in mind that humans, despite having poor physical abilities, no natural protection or weaponry and requiring long periods to mature nonetheless have dominated every other species, eradicated all competition, and literally changed the planet to suit them.

A sack of decaying flesh that relies on biting to spread an infection is pretty low on the threats faced scale. Heck, the earliest humans faced starvation, infection, and predators much more capable and flourished.

Get out of here. Rule of Cool dictates Zombies shall be a threat!

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”
