I am almost positive she won't be, even though her hair and costume color palate seem to suggest it. It would not make sense unless there is some weird time travel or growth acceleration shenanigans.
Loki wasn't "evil" until the events of Thor pushed him there. Sure he was always power hungry and manipulative, but I doubt he would have had time to conceive a daughter that turns out just like him.
However, we don't know where Loki went at the end of Thor. He could easily have fallen into some time-bending rift for eons, conceived and/or raised a daughter before Thanos saved him and sent him to Earth. Who knows?
There is also that rumor that Hela may be playing the role as Lady Death in the Infinity Wars. It would be odd for Thanos to be lusting after the daughter of a failed underling (from his point of view)

Didn't the Thor: Ragnarok storyline in the comics have a kind of Battlestar Galactica, "all which has happened before will happen again" thing to it?
Sure, if I remember right, it got a bit overly meta, but the concept was that that all the events in Viking myth actually happened to previous incarnations of Asgard and the Asgardian gods, which was regularly destroyed and then reborn time after time, with only Odin remembering the details.
It was Thors interaction with modern Earth and the Avengers that drove him to learn this and break the cycle.
ScarJo can't act and wouldn't get roles if she wasn't attractive. Kind of like Ashton Kutcher. Hardly an uncommon phenomena in Hollywood.
The preview is fantastic. I am glad they are upping the fun factor and figured out that the overly self serious comic book movies are a drag. I am interested to see how Hela can shatter Mjolnir like that.

I did like her in Lost in Translation and her voice in Her...
Ashton Kuschner? Love Dude Where's My Car with him and Stifler.
Odin in the movie? Didn't see Sir Anthony Hopkins in the trailer...

Face it, you're just slamming her because she's now gone and done roles where she wasn't blonde...and we know how Texans feel about blondes.
Hel was a Goddess of death - well some of it - well those who died in certain ways - mostly the old and the sick but not those who died in battle, or drowned or various other ways who were owned buy other Gods and Goddesses
She is often described as one of the children of Loki (I think he is the father not the mother - he does give birth to some creatures when he shifted to a mare and gets frisky with a stallion IIRC) . Her siblings are extremely powerful - one encircles the entire earth.
It does look awesome.

Hold on; are we talking mythology or Marvel? I am pretty sure in Marvel she is an Asgardian (despite being born on Jotunheim to a giantess and Loki) with mystical abilities and some sort of pact with Death.

That was a wonderfully dorky movie, I think the Johanssossoson is a passable enough actress but a tad overused in the splodedy fistycuffs genre, meaning she doesn't get to do as much interesting stuff as she once did.
As for Thor, more cosmic, less Portman appears to have fixed the mehh of the last two (most movies are better with less of Natty P, some of the best films have none at all)
"AND YET YOU ACT AS IF THERE IS SOME IDEAL ORDER IN THE WORLD, AS IF THERE IS SOME...SOME RIGHTNESS IN THE UNIVERSE BY WHICH IT MAY BE JUDGED."
Ghostworld is an amazing movie. Scarlett Johansson is a great actress that starred in a bunch of awful movie, but I think she's very good.
Thor movies are actually among the few marvel cinematic universe films that I like, in the upcoming one I saw that also Jaimie Alexander is not part of the cast though :(
I'm still of the opinion that Marvel haven't put out any truly duff movies.
Whilst The Dark World is probably the weakest, it's perfectly serviceable as films go. Plot is coherent, character development occurs, and it's more than a simple retread of it's predecessor.
As for Ms Johansson? Can you blame her for taking well paying rolls that make use of her physique whilst she can? We know actresses have a definite shelf life in Hollywood - so let's make hay whilst the sun shines. Once she moves beyond the usual age group, she can bust out her acting chops once again.

The you need to improve your standards.
Thor Thor Darkworld Green lantern EDIT: while Green Lantern sucked I have been informed its not Marvel. I have also been informed I am a poser. I hope to pose with some nice barbeque for lunch today. Hulk II (the non Ang Lee one, although I like how they treated Hulk in Avengers. I barely remember Avengers II so can't relate) speaking of: Avengers II Captain America (all of them but especially the first, I literally wandered off to play on the computer).

I would agree that there have been no "bad" marvel movies although Cap America 1 was not very good (as opposed to Cap A 2 which was awesome) and Guardians was only "ok".
Can't fault any of the other films (ignoring the older Hulk films and Green Lantern, basically anything before Iron Man)
Totally agree re Ms Johansson.

I've said elsewhere, the Hulk movie is Marvel's weakest. It was pre-Disney Marvel, and it just didn't take. Hence the recasting and lack of any sequels.
It's not awful, but it's not really good, either. It's in the middle range that checked the boxes, but didn't stand out much and has since been largely lost to time. Until people say "Norton" and "Abomination", and then people go "oh, yeah..." ____
