Vigo. Spain.

3 wounds, 8 bravery, 3 attacks, etc... don't sound to much battleline to me. What Nurgle needs is a mortal cultist like bloodreaver and Kairic Acolytes.

So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

It would be cool to see some mechaniclal goblins or more grot spiderling kind of army for destruction. Maybe a kraken/ octopus/ Cthulhu theme army aswell.

Also would be great to see death get something new, I don't even play death but they are great to play against and I can imagine the models GW could do.

Edit: for spiderlings make like a goblin church of the spider god!

Indeed, spider worshipping goblins would be great for destruction as well. They could make for an army with very interesting mechanics as well (slowing enemies with webs while scaling terrain could make for interesting game-play as well).

I would expect Nurgle's cultist to be more durable than that. I'm hoping if (when) the Rotbringers get an update, his basic troops are more in line with Chaos Warriors: 2 wounds with a 4+ save.

This is something i am all for, especially if they could get the grot scuttlings from silver tower in there. i like those little guys, and i don't think they have a points cost yet?

If I'm paying 1060+ points for Archaon and his Varanguard, and I'm going to be switching them to a given mark for the course of the game anyway, it's a bit of a kick in the pants for an already overcosted unit that Archaon can't tell them what to deploy as before the fight gets going. I'd say that the fact that they need to be with Archaon to be able to get marks in the first place is already plenty of identity as a unit. Just let me start with it.

See though, that's not how they would get used. How they would actually get used is in mono-God armies to benefit from Allegiance-specific buffs, which completely destroys what they are and are supposed to be.

With the 700 point (320 if you use the horse, but I have my doubts about that sticking around for GHB2) Archaon tax thrown on just to be able to give them a mark at all, I wouldn't consider that a huge issue. If half your army is just Archaon and his guard, that already should constitute a strong identity. Any army that has over 1000 of its points put towards that, it doesn't matter what the other 940 points is, it's still an Archaon list. Whether the Varanguard get Archaon's mark before or after deployment isn't going to change that, it's just going to make fitting them into a list less annoying.

You could run mono-god lists with Archaon alone as things are now, but they'd probably be more point-effective with something other than the Varanguard anyway while still retaining the benefits. It's just less thematic for Archaon because now there's even less incentive to take his overcosted guard along.

Oh, so allowing them to deploy marked IF Archaon is in the army. That makes sense.

Seeing as dwarves are my favorite fantasy face, I'd like more variations of them. Perhaps a frozen plane version, where they've been turned into more ice-like creatures. Or a deep earth one like stated earlier, where their skin has grown dark (duergar like), use more magic and utilize crazy subterranean beasts.

A new grot/goblin army! Could create some crazy new models for them, rehash some of the old stuff with new models like doomdivers. Maybe a steampunk grot army that was exiled from the orks and became more technologically advanced? Grot tanks in AoS!!

I'd also like more undead, but you have to get really creative for something "new" there.

I think a corrupted lizardmen army would be neat and sell really well, too.

I'd love to see new and more fleshed out (haha) undead. I think the Flesheater Courts is brilliant in it's theme and writing.
Aelfs also desperately need to be redone in the new fashion of AoS. Outside of those two, I'm always up for some Skaven and Ironjawz love.

Really they should do battletome: grots. It would allow them to consolidate the line and get rid of some old kits (sorry gitmob grots, your rules are good but your models are terrible) while adding some new ones. I'd still hope grotbag scuttlers would get their own though since grots deserve two battletomes...

I have a feeling we're on the verge of seeing more Nurgle stuff, with the Blightwar and all that coming. I would not be surprised to see a Battletome by the end of the year. Of course, that's 100% speculation on my part.

I get that feeling too but GW have proven over the years they are anything but predictable. Anyway here's hoping, always been more of a Tzeentch guy myself but would like to see some of the other gods get their due.

I've read somewhere that they'll come early next year, not sure where but probably somewhere over here

It would be a shame if we had to wait that long for nurgle given the recent deathguard release.

1. Bringing back Bretonnian knights and Trebuchet. Or at least a present day equivalent. I got into the game with AoS and didn't act quickly enough to get models.

2. More vampires of some kind so I can make a full vamp army someday.

3. Some better armored Free Peoples. The ones we have now look more thrown together militia style than a standing army that's prepared for war. Call them Royal Guard or something and at least wearing mail armor with a better save.

4. Units representing other kingdoms from The World That Was. Like Arby, Cathay/Nippon etc. Not sure if this is even possible as I'm not a lore expert and what I've read is kinda vague on if there's anyone from the old world in the Mortal Realms.

Plastic Soulblight units would be awesome, although I can't decide if I want them to look like Mannfred or like Neferata/Arkhan.

Actually, more Death factions that share the Nagash aethetic rather than the Sylvania aethetic would be appreciated in general.

I would also really like to have a Gobbo faction, preferably the "[Goblin], [Noun] of Mork" to match Gordrakk and his Orruk Ironjawz.

Grom. Definitely Grom. Or Skarsnik. Neither of them were really confirmed dead last time I checked, so some of "Mork's Sneaky Wotsits" could see them come back.

Maybe it'll be one big goblin warlord with the personalities of all the goblin warbosses of the World That Was all shouting over each other inside his paranoid little head. Could lead to some stupid funny mechanics involving Marius Leitdorf-style random buffs or as a Command Ability with a 2D6 table for the results of what he was shouting/headbanging.

Now THAT would be a battletome announcement.

Would like my poor Beastmen to be expanded on a bit. We've become B-list minions for the other servants of Chaos. Feelsbadman. In all seriousness though, a named character and some synergy between our models, since we have no reason to mix Centigors, Harpies, or Warherd models into our Brayherd forces anymore would go a long way. Maybe bring back Gorthor? Or Morghur, he's always been pretty resilient, could see him surviving the destruction of the Old World with his broken immortality powers. Would maybe like to see the Halflings reappear s well, since they've not been mentioned once in AoS to my knowledge.

Edit: Also, Fimir. Always thought they were a cool concept, and it was a pity they never made it to popularity since GW fudged up their points cost and model cost equivalency when they first released them, guaranteeing no one bought them.

Destruction definitely needs some improvement. I would love to see more details concerning Firebellies, The Spider Goblins get more units / lore etc. Something that could help destruction are battalions that take advantage of the different units in destruction working together to get advantages on the tabletop.
