For my bugs I'm hoping for the rest of their failcast range to get set over to plastic. And maybe a new gant box with the rest of their weapon options. Having to find OOP metal models for spike rifles is a pain. Maybe a Norn Queen kit so bugs too have their giant gundam box. everyone else has one.

I don't know. That's possible. Also possible we get a cult of half naked Tau trying to recollect the pieces of a C'tan Shard that they were convinced were their god by securing mercenary work as melee mercenaries...
Oops, they kind of did that already.
Wait, what? What piece of fluff is that?
A variant of the slightly new Fyreslayer Dwarfs for Age of Sigmar that were the third set of models to be released for it. Basically they are all flame-loving Slayers working for gold to reassemble their God or place it in themselves or some crap like that.

No, all true.
The waffles part was me going off topic like the post I replied too Automatically Appended Next Post: Why would the Imperium replace lost geneseed when they can replace with bigger and better marines, as the time line moves forward, old marines will be phased out I think. So expect bigger marines to show up more and more in the future

Allegedly a rumor on bols says IoM/Chaos/AdMech focus for this year. Xenos next year. With Nids and Orks being first up on the block. The rumor also said they want to focus on the beloved but neglected Xenos armies.
It could be even longer for Necrons and Tau. Dark Eldar will probably still get nothing because dark eldar. It says to look for the continued triumvirate boxes.
However Hastings has said there is an ork truck in the works. So if they are only doing triumvirates it contradicts him. Unless they do triumvirates and new models/updates.
As for Tau? Man with what I know anything could happen. I simply have no way to make a guess right now that would be nothing but a pure guess. Probably Farsight? Seems like a safe bet.

I've heard other rumors that have said every army gets SOMETHING this year. (which come to think of it a GW rep said) so it might be every army gets at least one new thing but the FOCUS will be on chaos, admech and IoM

The gathering storm triumverates were a bit of a surprise to me, as they didn't match usual releases (focused on a faction at a time).
The Ynnari one, as well a Guilliman, also have a big connection to the lore. Adding a new named inquisitor or GK librarian has no real impact on the setting, but a god and a primarch do.
GW said multiple times that the setting is changing, and I'm expecting that to drive the new model lines. We know about the numarines, and the return of a few primarch seems possible (or even very likely for Mortarion). But I think we'll also see new models that reflect how the setting changed because of the big rift.

It's well past time for a new IG regiment, hopefully a squad with all the weapon options in one box (one can pray). Hell my IG wish list:
Infantry squad - 10 multipart figues, all special weapons, 1 heavy weapon, 2-3 sets of heads, lasgun or shotgun choice.
Heavy weapon squad - set of 3 heavy weapons and crew
Conscript/Filler squad - 20 one pose figures with multiple heads. Includes male and female.
Command squad - 6 figures, 4 troopers, 2 officer/commissar bodies
Troop truck
Jeep
Another box of multipart cultists would also make me open my wallet (never mind the 40 unassembled 1 pose cultists and the 40 more Frostgrave cultists and the 20 GS cultists, no need to mention any of them).
Land Raider, Leman Russ and Chimera recut to have a suspension rather than the armored sides going all the way to the ground. Taurox needs fewer weapon options and wheels instead of tracks.
Chibi Hawk and Chibier Hawk both need to be dropped and redesigned. The FW Aquilla lander and the new Corvus Blackstar are fantastic, the Space Wolf flying longboat could work with some redesign. The Valkyrie is a pleasure to build and paint (even it doesn't fit well on tables).

So far it looks like the normal Marines will still be a thing, since they also said that the Numarines get different weapon options.
On the other hand its likely that they phase them out at some point since their stores are only so big. And they also dont seem to be a new elite unit which I hoped they would be.
Pretty sure there will be a new Avatar of Khaine and some new Guardsmen at some point.
And they will get rid of all Finecast / Metal stuff one by one.
Probably starting with the Chaos range, would be strange If that wouldnt happen.

I think my first purchase (In 5 years actually) will be a squad of the Primaris Marines. Look sharp and easy to paint. If their rules are solid I'll be picking up a squad.

Where did they say they are doing that? The current ork trukk looks good. I could eventually see them having multiple kits for ork vehicles as it is nice to have a lot of variety when it comes to orks. Forgeworld already does sell some kits to add diversity to trukks, so it seems like a weird thing for them to prioritize.

Rippy wrote:Here's hoping for some Death Guard snipers, and snipers for other factions that won't be able to target characters.
Edit: here is hoping for "blessed" DG that are so bloated and fat that all they are good for is being plopped down with a sniper in their hands.
It would be interesting to see if they'll add snipers to factions that don't currently have them, or give those factions some other way of dealing with characters hiding behind units, or just make not easily being able to target characters a weakness of certain factions. Any of the solutions could be good, although for the last one it would only be acceptable if the game was still balanced.
I was thinking about Black Templars, and how it might be cool if the Emperor's Champion could make an extra-long pile-in move as long as he ended up in range of an enemy character. That could be an interesting way to deal with enemy characters that would be an alternative to snipers.
I'm kind of hoping that there will be a way for certain units to bully their way past bubble wrapping units. I don't mean to the point where using units of infantry to screen characters or artillery is no longer a valid strategy, but I just think it would be cool if certain melee units could bulldoze their way through grots or conscripts. Things like dreadnoughts, meganobz and Eversor assassins.
I'm expecting Primaris Marines as Chaos for quite a while, but it's possible GW could surprise me with some sort of crazy fast release schedule.

I honestly don't think these new marines are replacing the old ones, how ever I do think they will end up being a faction of there own.
Something along the lines of grey knights tbh though how many more space marines can they invent we already had super marines and now we have super duper marines, they should of left it at a new faction without giving them extra stats imo.

Well if I had to put money on it, I would say that they will be replacing marines. With talk of regular marines getting few releases, characters can be made to the new scale, I'm fairly certain this is how they will slowly switch to the new size. They have even silently increased the size of some marine models like the Thousand Sons.
As for what get's models next, I think the factions that need it most are sisters(duh), Eldar, and Chaos. It just so happens that these factions are the center of the story right now. And I mean, how many editions have some of those models seen come and go? As for factions that I don't expect new stuff for, that would be Tau, DE, and necrons. They just have gotten too much new stuff in the past few years, and not many of their models are that old.

It has already been mentioned, but with Armageddon getting talked about more, I think it was mentioned as a battle zone, and Shadow War, I think it would be silly not to see a few new plastic Guard kits.
It really wouldn't be too hard to make a box of generic Guard in great coats that can either be Vostroyan, Steel Legion or Tallarn. Just give multiple head and arm options. Add a few bits that suit all three options and done.
