The Demiurg are not a part of the T'au Empire, but a couple of the Clans are known to trade with them

Some Clans are part of the Tau Empire.

Just as even if Kroots are generally part of the Tau Empire you can encounter tribes and planets outside it or even Kroot fleets that work as mercenaries for other forces in the galaxy
Spoiler:
And in a totally offtopic way, I'm gonna put this video here, because it needs to reach every 40k fan. I think not has 40k feelin capture as good as in this game to this day

BFG:A was one of the better gems for 40k, and IMHO one of the best treatments of the 40k feel we've gotten in a 40k video game, it's a shame the game sort of withered away I was hoping for some more racial DLC

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

With the Sq'uaa'ti having an Ambull behind him I might actually even like it.
Of course, I also have a couple of the old plastic Space Dwarves from GW's very distant and murky past. Just wondering where they went, so I can strip them, re-equip them, and start using them as, for example, Tempestus Militarum, or something like that. The same way I use the Victoria Miniatures Penal Legion models as Conscripts; to my opinion suitable proxies.

Hey, if the Chicago Cubs can win the World Series, then anything is possible. All that would remain after that is for the next Half-life game to be released....

So for those people who don't deliberately misconstrue things for attention here's what this rumor ACTUALLY was.

Lady Atia said the final fight between the Emperor and Horus was going to end up being very different from how we think of it now and that THAT would be the retcon. Not the whole series.

Now, does that preclude a world shaking event that changes the entire Horus Heresy retroactively? No.

Just in case you aren't able to understand my basic point - I didn't give a crap about the Retconned info......I was asking about the Squats and the point was if they were thinking of changing the story, then maybe that meant the squats had a chance of coming back as something different. I even stated that what I wrote was not a direct quote. So who again was looking for attention?

And that in itself was a specific reaction to the fact that some people regard the old Bill King "The Emperor and Horus" short story as still being definitive even though that itself was not the first telling of the story (an earlier version featured Ollanius Pius). Suffice it to say that this particular story will likely be retold as part of the finale of the HH series. Some people try to interpret the Emperor's actions in the HH novels using that story (since it is the only piece of fluff I know of told from the Emperor's perspective). The point being that it is pointless to try and glean insight into a fictional character using a piece of work that is effectively obsolete.
