Don't forget that orks will hit an avatar on a 3+ when they used to do it on a 5+. And they'll wound on a 5+ up from 6+. At least for the first turn. Of course, the avater will have more wounds than now but he's gona loose them faster in mellee than he used to thx to his ws10.

He might have a rule that makes you subtract one or something from their to hit roll

We don't know yet but if choppas are identical to chainswords, orks still get furious charge and don't recieve a +1 attack for charging, 11 choppaboyz and a pk nob will strike first on the charge and deal: 2.444 choppa wounds, 0.444 slugga wounds and 0.667 pk wounds. That's ~ 3.5 wounds. And Gork knows how many more wounds from a trukk that's gona fence with an avatar in mellee. Up from 0.815 choppa wounds and 0.74 pk wounds for a total of ~1.5 wounds they'd deal in 7-th. Sure, an avatar will have like 12 wounds so it balances things out. But he degrades over time with wounds suffered. Oh, and now shootas will deal 2 times more wounds to an avatar than they used to. And...likely even more so as we can now bunch up and not form thin green lines to avoid templates.

I get uncertain if your intentions. Do you want a 2000 pt game that is done in a couple of hours, or are you annoyed the avatar takes damage in close combat from inferior opponents? Mind you my boyz would chew up an avatar in a normal game in 7th (bar that small eldar cheese issue of superior mobile firepower, which would decide game on turn 1).

With love from Denmark
