I'm honestly not sure how you could have made it clearer without killing the joke. FWIW I chuckled too.
More on-topic, it's not like the racism in the True Finns is new, the current government was perfectly content with governing with the True Finns as long as they could pretend it wasn't there.

Haha yeah that cracked me up Finland's goverment so prides itself as being part of west and here casually we got classified as non-west
Within the political theory I am used to and was taught in, Finland is one of those usual counties that is not totally western or eastern(Russian) due to it having to play both sides to survive.
But that is just my perspective.

Walrus gets it to a point but it was also a bit of wordplay on the pronunciation of suxit (sucks it) since Finland leaving the EU right now is a pretty terrible idea.
Oh well, at least I made myself chuckle.
Pedants, actually.

Haha. It's sod's law that that is the word auto correct decides to change.
On topic: As much as I disagree with the True Finn's positions on most issues I was actually a bit impressed by how Timo Soini seemed to rise to the occasion and take his responsibilities as deputy prime minister seriously.
Though that could just be because I've had my standards lowered by UKIPs often obstructionist behaviour while still keeping their noses in the trough.
And I do think it's right that, however much I about their politics, that they are given a place at the table so that those who voted for them are given fair representation.
In fact, I think the UK could learn a lot from the way this crisis has been handled.

Well there's degree of it and state of it. There's racists in other parties as well but even before PS racist elements weren't up in charge and Soini had them at least in control. Now they basically overthrew PS leadership and took control without even Soini there to ensure PS goes more or less as agreed.
As it is now the group is more home to guys that literally shouted death threats to member of old guard during the event they voted for new leader...

It's not a totally unreasonable or unjustified perspective. We had the era known as "Finlandization" where the government would basically kowtow the Kremlin and do anything necessary to not be seen as a threat to the Soviet Union. Even as late as 1974 our elected representatives passed a special law letting sitting President Urho Kekkonen remain as President without elections because he had such good connections with the Soviet leadership. Whenever he was faced with an internal political problem he'd call the Kremlin, they'd make some noise and everyone would have to back the President to make sure the foreign threat was properly pacified.
