Great looking force! Love all the subtle touches and use of color to tie everything together but make things suitably distinct.

Call me curious, where do you get the rules for your Griffon Mortar Carrier from? What book, I should say? I've got two for my Imperial Guard army and would like to use them when I break my force out of mothballs soon.

Thanks for sharing your force! Looking forward to seeing more of it soon!

Take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

Renegades and Heretics out of the FW index for AM. Better yet, just DL Battlescribe. All the rules for it are there.

DISGUSTING work, well done! Love the green of their armour, lovely (incredibly putrid) force - excellent stuff!

Awesome army! I'm really jealous.
Just as a thought, do you find there is a scale mismatch between the old DG models and the brand new plastic range? I have an old Typhus in metal, the Lord of Contagion makes him look underfed!

Thanks.

There is a huge scale mismatch. When I started my army, I got 30ish Plague Marines (a mix of metal, resin, and plastic parts from the offical PM kit and the FW upgrades). Those were the first things I painted up. I was never able get an old Typhus model at a decent price...which now I am kind of happy I wasn't. Due to the size of the Lord of Contagion and even the Plaguecaster, it makes the old model stand out scale wise, and the new Typhus model fits well. And I know I might be a minority, but I really like the model.

I consider myself lucky that I started my army shortly before the DG was announced, and by the time I was done painting the Helbrute, the PM's, the Demon Prince, and the spawn, we found out DG cant take Havocs, Helldrakes, bikes, etc so never purchased any those. Waited for the DI set, and used everything except the new PM models.

I still have a bunch of the new PM's that might never get used because.....well I already have 4 units of 7. Thes cale of the PM's does not bother me much, but with the HQ units, it does.

Hi Vox,
I really appreciate your painting style. I would like to know how you painted the rust effect on the metal areas. Is this just some sort of Typhus Corrosion and a drybrush of orange or do you use pigments as well?

Greetings

If you read some of my stuff, its all about being simple, gritty, low tones and relativity quick. So, pigments are something I never tried. The rust is tpyhus corrosion over a metalic silver, and a light stipple of rhyza rust in some of the areas. For some of the recesses its an agrax shade mixed with some orange. Again simple and not too many steps
