We have already done 28mm and 6mm on our retail models and it is surprisingly easy to handle the production of vehicles if you already have the 28mm 3d models. Vehicles are a tremendous hassle in 28mm. The 15mm and 6mm scales are insanely easy in relation to 28mm so it is not that much of a stretch to handle those scales in addition to 28mm.

The 6mm makes sense that it wouldn't add too much work... but not the 15mm, imo, that's taking on an awful lot at once!

Thank you for your input and let me come out that I really appreciate the heads up on the difficulty of the task. I am confident we can pull it through given time and money. This is why we are going to kickstart the project after all

As we are working on the prototypes and compiling the rulebook we have a preview of the light infantry for each of the 3 factions in both 28mm and 15mm.

I rather like the style of Tecton Stormtroopers, makes me think a little bit of the video game Helldivers!

I like the vehicles. Those are definitely what I'm more interested in.

The troopers look ok but then again I'm not a "heroic" type of fan, I tend to prefer things that are closer to true scale.

It is also hard to gauge since they aren't all in the same image. They are all renders of samples but each image are different angles (Tecton is closer than the UEF Infantry). The UEF Infantry doesn't look bad but the Tecton arms look too long and the squat nature of heroic makes them look very short. It isn't as bad with the UEF but still, a bit of scale seems off. The Brute seems fine because it isn't a standard human form or shape.

Oh yes.. do you know I actually hadn't noticed that!

Obviously your mind just fills in the blanks when you glance at it (although like you say hopefully it is a deliberate thing, not a type, and at some point we will find out what a 'Stom' is!)

Thanks for the heads up on the spelling! The mispelling also got copy-pasted in multiple places. If only Adobe illustrator had autocorrect.....

I will look into the stormtrooper - something indeed looked off and the arm might have gotten elongated when trying to accomodate the rifle. Thanks for the feedback guys

Hi guys, we finally have a set date for the Black Earth : Heavy Metal kickstarter.

The Kickstarter will launch between 25 and 30 January 2018. The kickstarter will resolve around a few resin vehicles and infantry for Black Earth. A full rules system will also be made available for free when the campaign is concluded, which will include the names of all backers who wish to be included in the credits section of the book.

The kickstarter preview page will be up before the end of the year.

Here are some of the stuff that will be available in the kicsktarter so you will be able to share your feedback which we take very seriously.

The UEF Bulldog main battle tank is the star of our kickstarter and for this reason we went ahead and pushed the model through the entire production process, bringing it to life in resin, so that you can all see what to expect in terms of quality and resemblance to the 3d renders.

Nooo... what happened to the stormtroopers? They were all cool and industrial and now they've gone all Infinity! (Nothing wrong with that, just not what I was looking for). Sad face.

That design is not scrapped. It has instead moved to another faction where that industrial look is more suited . The Tecton Order are more sci-fi-y so they didnt fit in there
