My mvu would have to go to the Seraphim and the pen engines. Both squads of Seraphim did their job and tied up one of his predators and another razorback and subsequently destroyed both.

So I think from now on I'm packing both of those units. My next game I'm going to try out the retribution squads and see how much punch they can give me.

Ever since I swapped out the hand flamers for Inferno pistols the Seraphim have been my MVP unit each game. Retributors with heavy bolters have been pretty good for me, but they do always have a Canoness and an Imagifier in attendance which boosts them up quite a lot. I take a squad of 8, so they're 112 points and definitely worth it.

My list has two squads of 10, each with four Heavy Bolters, escorted by a Canoness and an Imagifier.

The consensus is that 8th is the "spam" edition. I build my list with Big C and three Imagifiers for AoF spam.

two squads of 5 Doms armed with stormbolters, some melta and combi meltas sprinkled in, all in a repressor. Take Six. Bare bones Canoness and some heavy bolter Rets. Celestine, Geminae and whatever inferno pistol Seraphim you can fit in.

Vanguard up your Doms, use your first AoF to get Celestine up the table and double fight shenanigans. After that buff your Rets. Save your last CP for Celestines resurrect re-roll. Warlord trait to give your murder hobo seven attacks is always nice too.

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

well crap.... i think i took enough Dakk last night.

my list consisted of:

St Cel + Gems
2x8 sister seraphim squads with Inferno pistols
1 Dom Melta squad + Immo hb

2 canonesses
3 Imagifiers
3 exorcists
3 ret sqauds with combinations of HB's HF's

and a lone Vindi Assassin (wanted to field him because he's a new project)

we played a Fate game and i was the defender my mate brought along his GK with Inq. managed to seize and then all hell broke loose... first turn saw me get my seraphim, Cel and Doms Immo all in shooting range. assaulted a pack of knights and managed to wipe them from the field with the seraphim and took out one of his razorbacks.
His stuff just died from the onslaught over the next two turns. he did manage to put Celestine down but she got back up and by turn 4 all of my forward units were on the run back to my table edge to take on his termies and Imq lord down which manged to get past my units thanks to the stormraven flying them in. managed to take his Lord and all bar one of the knights. he withdrew from combat with Celestine and then put every weapon he had into her and eventually put her down for good. then the game finished.

thanks to my full assault in the early game i managed to get a lot of early points. but holy hell the AoF are bloody brutal when they go off...
