The look great man. You really breathed new life into those old models.

Beautiful work as always. I actually never cared for that SG Farseer - I feel like he was done by the same guys who messed up the second version of the metal Aspect Warriors?

Same here, the model is sub-par!
However, I do not think that it was the same sculptor as the 3rd edition Aspect warriors.

I really like your Warlock, and the pointing Farseer. The blending on the Warlock's face plate is very good.

I continued my work on old Eldar, this week Dire Avengers.

Rogue Trader Craftworld Eldar 1991 - Dire Avengers - one of the few Aspect miniatures with better modern sculpts. The Exarch is from today’s plastic Dire Avengers.

Minor conversion of the current 2017 plastic Dire Avengers, the legs are from a normal plastic Guardian, also the cloth, all the rest is from the Dire Avenger box.

...as always, more on my site http://www.adpublishing.de/html/eldar.html

Fantastic painting.
The only thing that completely dates models is: the bright green painted base.
I have so many I need just to paint that or I will have to assume my armies will only fight on golf greens.
I have always felt the Eldar have the most character out of all the other model lines.
I have no idea why they never worked for me to play them.
What you have done there is awesome, it shows just how good the old models are as well.
The painting has improved by leaps and bounds, not so much the model making other than scale creep.

Thanks folks!
While I also still like the old Dire Avenger, these are the only of the old Goodwin Aspect Warriors that IMO are now surpassed by the contemporary models. Still the old metal minis fit my army well, so they are included.

When I started collecting Eldar back in the 1990s there were some metal minis and that was it. Today we even have Eldar terrain!
I noticed some supporting companies that made suitable terrain pieces. The webway entrance below is from Miniatures scenery, a mdf sheet named Elven Dais. It is not really expensive, but after shipment and German sales taxes it was too costly. In addition it was a pain to build.

Do not get me wrong you can build it straightaway and it looks OK, the problem is that the edges are too sharp, looking more like Dark Eldar but not like a wraithbone Craftworld construct! So A LOT of sanding was required...

After some subtle airbrushing and the piece was ready. I may even add some of the new vines from GW.

Nice work. My main issue is that we still don't have any Eldar/Elven structures. All of the Eldar terrain is similar to what you've posted. Webway gates or portals or random platforms.

I love the old Eldar models. In a way it is almost a shame to update their old-school paintjobs, but they do look better now.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

So true, I would love to see some dedicated GW or FW terrain for Eldar!

You've done a great job of sanding and painting that webway portal. I've been tempted to get that piece for a while, but have felt it was too sharp, I may try and do what you've done now though.

More retouching of my 20 years old minis... Craftworld Eldar Warp Spider. All minis are the original metal castings!

I played them last week in a 1500 pts game, a bit disappointing. Somehow I never used Warp Spiders effectively, no matter the game edition...
Anyway, I love the minis, so I will try again.

Thanks, IMO the old Jes Eldar are still unmatched.
Only exception are the new Guardians and Dire Avengers, all other Aspects are below the old quality...

Basically No! But just check my website, if anything particular catches your eye, just make me an irresistible offer!

Also, I have finished the Wraithguard squad incl. a Spiritseer:

That is how they looked before the repaint:

So much win! Those minis may be old school, but they still will turn heads and garner wolf whistles on the proverbial dance floor.
They're all great, but I personally like the Rangers and the Wraithguard the most.
