So guys a did a couple of weapon swaps, kit bashing with some forgeworld/ebay/anvilindustiries parts and had a priming disaster - thankfully I managed to strip the paint of my models. Re-primed them and i am now very happy, with the results. Looking forward to getting painting...

Solid start for them.
Good for baseline regular line troops.

Washes, dips and such are good cheats to improve a model with less effort, and low cash investment.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone I'll paint the body of the bolster red tonight. I've ordered some more little bits, as I am enjoying customising the models so much. I've tried some heavier dry brushes on my next marine to get a stronger contrast - pleased with the results so far. Just debating whether to do another wash or not.....

Hopefully I'll have some pics next weekend of updates....I am getting addicted to bits buying - I am thinking of getting some forgeworld weathering powders.... as I love the battle damaged look. Are they effective on black armour?

So I know this very slow progress, but I am finding it tough to fit painting/modelling around work and my little girl. It is very relaxing though! progress i the image attached.
