Be pushed, this is me pushing you... I was surprised by just how terrifying it was with the not Dengar ability as well as the interesting combos you can get with the title, system, tech and missile slots (and of course the LWF). Not sure how well he pairs with TIE/d but I am sure someone could way in. The version that has been beating my face in costs 38pts (I think its title, FCS, LWF, Expertise and primed thrusters?).

Do you know when and where your Nationals are being held? Thinking of flying over if possible.

So i've been play testing a few different lists and i've actually changed my focus a little to alternate ships.

i've had a 1W 1L (so far planning on more games over the next week or two) with this list:

Vader
X1
Adaptability
Engine Upgrade
Advanced Targeting PC

Rexler
Tractor Beam
VI
Tie/D

Sienar Specialist
TLT
LWF

: 4500pts

Lothlorien: 3500pts
Rohan: 1500pts
Serpent: 2000pts
Modor: 1500pts

anyway to jiggle the list to squeeze an Ion Cannon in over the Tractor ? Upsets Nym/Miranda a fair bit

Sadly not really. At the moment I have a 2pt bid. I would feel better if it was up to 3pts but can't do it sadly.

Absolutely crap....

Came in 72nd overall. I conceded one match because there was no way that I could win with a Blinded Vader.

Crap. What was the current hotness?

Were you blindsided by some lists?

Do you feel it was just down to dice and not much else?

Looks like several of the top scoring lists were 3x plasma torp jumpmasters

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Unlucky Captain. Ooh that first game must have sucked big time too... Quad Wookies, yuck.

Yeah I was watching/listening to the live stream of the event and there were at least 2 triple jump lists that I remember of the 6 rounds streamed.

There are still some interesting lists though, the guy currently placed 6th is running Palpshuttle and 2x Delta Tie/D Defenders with Tractor Beam iirc (he was one of the players on stream).

Also the guy in 9th is running a Palpshuttle/Pure Sabacc/Whisper list.

Oh hey, a TIE Swarm list made it to the top cut.

Unlucky mate.
Good to see two of our local Cerebus squadron boys making the cut! One is on live stream at the moment, Geoff flying Sabbac, Whisper and Palp shuttle.

So good lists are those that will be illegal in a week's time? Sad.

I mean... SAD!

The top 4 is Miranda/Low/Biggs (kiwi player), quad wookies, Kanan/Lowhrick and Dengar/Assaj, so only two of the lists and one ship each is nerfed. The only player to have gone 8-0 is the Kanan list another foreigner from Singapore I think.

Oh and a Tie swarm made top 8! Howlrunner, some crack blacks and I think Zeta leader.

Yup, Zeta Leader with Crack Shot.

Also RIP the stream cut out after XY's Lowie got hit by some juicy crits :(

Back up, crits were console fire and shaken pilot. Think Kanan/low is in real trouble, but quad wooks have spread out a lot.

It's definitely going to be hard for XY.

Quad Wookies win, finals is going to be Wookies vs OP Cubed.
So if it makes you feel any better @Captain, at least you lost to one of the top players of the event?

Australia

Afternoon lads,

Just got home and have managed to unpack a bit.

Some rather annoying lists at nationals. I conceded my first game ever in round 5. A fing RAC/Palp/Kylo and Colder list.... man that list was crap to play against, of all of the games yesterday it was my most hated.

My hatred of Dash continues unabated, his ability to just fly over everything is whacked...

My absolute highlight of the day was to play Morgan Reid. Such a close match and I was just a little unlucky on some of my rolls. Towards the end I knew I wasn't going to win so I just went for half points on Dash (which was a common theme in my games against Dash...)

The quad commando Wookie gunships.... all I can say is holy crap is that some fire power. I possibly could've flown a little better but him staggering his formation it made it hard to not have to change target so I ended up destroying one, had one on 1 hull, 1 with full hull but no sheilds and the last one at full strength.

So in short it was a fun experience (with one minor exception) and I honestly learnt a fair bit, but that's it until after Christmas. Going to take a step back from playing for a while and maybe do so TO work for our local tournaments.

Yeah Fur Ship Rebels (the name consensus Twitch Chat came to on what to call it) is surprisingly good at shooting. Currently being torn to pieces bit by bit with OP Cubed though in the finals.

Unfortunate to hear about the annoying lists, but good to hear you had fun.

and the NZer did it, he beat the Fur Ship Rebels.
