I just started up a Harlequin Army, but I doubt that they will receive anything close to a DG release when their codex drops. Eldar might receive updated models because of how popular the line is, but I think Harlequins will stay smaller much like MT.

A Flyer would be nice and maybe an additional HQ, but it would also be nice if they boosted the less useful options such as the Voidreaver and Death Jester.

Maybe they will surprise me though as it is tough to justify a standalone codex (which I would purchase anyway) for such a limited force, but I'm not about to get my hopes up.

They for sure will boost the Void and Skyweavers along with DJ. The only questions really is.... will they get equal stratagems/artifacts and love like other codex's are.

Stratagems and other codex bonuses are just text, which I doubt they give too much thought. If they give Harlequins a codex, they might as well give us more reasons to buy it. They would happily make new models too, if it didn't cost any time or resources, but it does, so they don't.

I doubt Harlequin's will get any new releases any time soon. It's not that they may not need it, but it's a very niche' army and most likely won't see much love for some time. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say the next army to get the 'Death Guard Treatment' would be Thousand Sons.

Yes I know they just got a good release back at the tail end of 7th, but after seeing what GW just did for Death Guard, the Thousand Sons release kinda feels like a spoiler release. GW did a great job with making Death Guard it's own thing and not just another flavor of Chaos. So I imagine that may be what they have planned for each of the major cults. With Thousand Sons getting about half of what Death Guard got, GW could easily put out a 2-3 week release near the end of the year and fill out Thousand Sons and make them something more than just another version of Chaos.

I don't think that'd be a good idea, apart from maybe a few small things. At the end of the day, they're still heretic astartes, let the true chaos fanboys save up some money after that huge DG release before putting out more.

I think they should release something other than marines after all these Primaris and Death Guard.

Right.... then you have the Ynnari codex that had a list of names and 3 characters. Dont put it past GW to be lazy on a couple codex's, yes its a new GW for sure, but i'm still hesitate.

Edit: Harlequins need love, but not in more models just inner balance (very bad points balance) and insentive to take all the units. Tho i do REALLY want an Harlequins Flyer.

Inner balance would indeed increase the army's variety by a lot.
As for new models, a Flyer isn't what I want to most. I painted a Hemlock in the same colors as my masque, and it looks the part. A new infantry unit (especially if it was a dual kit with two battlefield roles) would add a lot more variety in my opinion.

But I doubt we'll see anything. I suspect Ynnari will get new models next year, but not the other eldar factions.

I heard a rumor that Harlequins would be receiving bonuses based on their Masque, similar to the recently released Codexes... And yes, I know how rumors go haha. Either way I'm painting up Masque of the Reaper's Mirth, but hopefully I don't end up with something lame like Death Jester's can move an additional 2". I'm not a power gamer by any stretch of the imagination, but that would make me shift to a "Successor Masque."

I think Ynnari could be tacked onto the all of the Eldar books without issue, but I could also see them only being mentioned with CWE. I am sticking with a Pure Harlequin Army (no interest in other Eldar units) so that doesn't affect me, but it could be a pain for others.

I haven't heard rumors, but so far every army that had a <chapter> or similar got rules to go with it.
In the index, harlequin have a <masque> keyword, so I think it's very likely they'll get masque-dependent rules.
