Natural horse light armor sounds like the direction people want to go. An idea that came to mind was a collection of fur pelts or cloth at the saddle area. It was used to deflect or protect against arrows

These look pretty good, although I am not sold at all on the Boob stripe sported by the females.

Should'nt it just be bare, or maybe covered by a belt/harness type thing?

Sounds like people want more torsos, so i'll address that in the stretch goal later on. Ill get some more concept sketches, probably to include leather armor cover and some female mystics. It would cost around 1k-1.2k. I'm not afraid of nudity, but I just don't see it having a place here with the models.

Also, for those interested, here is a 90% completion on front box art.

Understood regarding bare female Faun chests, it is a bit sad though, because the torso clothing looks out anachronistic on these model (if one can apply the term to Fantasy). It would be the same if the Male Fauns had tight fishnet T-shirts on.

It makes me think of Disneys 'the little mermaid', with Ariel and her sea shell bra.

If you prefer the mythos, Satyrs/fauns hung out with wood sprites and nymphs. If females were depicted, they would be bare and nude, with perhaps floral arrangements. Mermaids and sirens were usually depicted as nude as well. Challenge of designing this body was that the initial concept called for a hunter warband, which had light armor elements. Shields and pads for mobility. More wrapped armor and they would be warriors at another concept. Best way to address this was to budget for a few torsos, and later pledge to create new torsos and heads if desired. With the mix matching you have less of the universal look. The torsos also have leverage for another centaur spinoff. At the best case modelers can go over the model and craft. The exposed torsos aided in a woad concept to.

So RGD, when do you think the kickstarter will be coming? Early 2018 or later? Any chance of a stretch goal for additional heads? It looks like 5 heads for 5 bodies...? So you have to use the same heads for each 5 in a unit... a stretch for additional heads would help mix them up.

Revising parts on the sprue to help with the undercuts at the moment, it's been an intricate process so far. Plus with the holidays we've had some downtime. We're still gunning for quarter 1, to give us time for photos, a paint job, and other crucial components to help us maximize the kickstarter relaunch. Its been our focus this month, so hang tight.

To answer your question, we have some stretch goals that should serve everyone's wants for more torsos and heads. At the moment, our concept artist is coming up with some more head/torsos, and we'll pass that to the sculptor. For example, the faun shaman is being created to work interchangeably with the torsos of the male and females, in the head and legs. Due to the drum though, we will have a harder time making that with the two handed weapons and bows. But ill see what the sculptor has in mind.

Attached is a rescaled horse body for a centaur conversion. Effectively, we have a horse body for each faun torso to fit in (legs in stride will be worked on in January). Keep in mind one of those looks a tad crunched due to scale, so we fixed it up at request of some of the viewers. A pass at the model will happen again in January to work on the hind leg details.

At the further end of the wish list is a tribal leader on a rhino drawn chariot. Which will be a challenge.

In priority, we would have a horse body conversion, added torso/heads/bodies stretch goal, rhino drawn chariot, eagles (possible chimera), and some others I would like to nail down. I've already enlisted some back up sculptors to take on this task. Some of this will require supplemental resin/pewter casting.

I'm following these updates with an increased interest. Working so hard on the compatibility of the kit is really one of the strong points of this projet. The idea to make centaurs while being sure it's compatible with the infantry torso and arms is a great idea. I like how the centaurs end looking.

About the chariot, it would be great to make it compatible with some other animals pulling it.

I was half expecting that four bodies would have to be made, but a creative seam allowed the horse body to do the job.
If I have my way, we get a mounted shaman.

Some rough sketches. But going to decide how I want to finalize the female shaman design. Thinking jewelry finish for a shoulder pad, with some of the top right corner assets. Like elk horns behind her, and that hide garment.

Nice. I'm not sure a skull helm is a good idea, because it would certainly mess a bit with her own horns.

I like the elk horns you made on the concept art. It looks like she has wings of a (bestial) angel. It would make sense she's the "voice of the spirits".

I would see her with many talismans made of bone, stone or wood rather than shiny jewelry. She would maybe have a purse where she certainly put ossicles and other shamanic stuff for her rituals/divinations.

The horns spreading out on the back like wings is a great look.

Probably wouldn't be practical, but it was a thought. But I am leaning for the bag carrying variant, with the horns as you describe. Something about it is really cool. I was trying to mimic the idea of the elk head in the male, with something that would have been hunted and worn. Some sort of reverence involved.

Or I can toss the concept entirely and go with another skimpy mage

Not everyday you get to try your hand out on an injection mold project, let alone that and pewter models. Been a great learning experience.

I heard that a bit ago, which is why we started incorporating facial expressions in some of the females and males. See below.

Those back antlers look great, and add a nice shamanistic look to her.

Still technically do, but been having a hard time keeping up with the site, ebay and amazon. So a lot more attention goes to the website. Lots of stuff still there however. Still selling miniatures, and you're welcome!

That wasn't the first choice for the head. We went with the one on the initial left, and wanted to take a chance at the one on the right. The idea being to add it to the stretch goals to cast in resin for the plastic models. I see where you are coming from.
