Not really? The rep on the facebook page just says that its probably intended as its in the book, and assured me a FAQ will be released eventually.

They just said that the faq are being done at the moment. :/ no clear answer yet. I’m not to bothered with cheap lasgun I’d rather there wasn’t just missing rules for certain weapons - that’s crap.

I have the gang war 1, but not the underhive. It's pretty clear that, House escher for example, could buy weapons post-game from their own armoury, and search for rare items from market. Read the sections from trading post. Their intetion is that, some equipment are cheaper for some gangs, like lasgun to escher.

I understand why they made Lasguns cheaper - they wanted that to be the signature weapon of the Escher gang* - but in doing so they created two problems:

1. They made the Lasgun so cheap that it makes the other two main weapons of Necromunda, namely the Autogun and Shotgun, basically useless. Why ever bring one of those when for 5 credz you can get a Lasgun that almost never runs out of ammo? The advantages given by Autoguns and Shotguns just don't matter when it's cheaper to buy three Lasguns on every ganger.

2. They didn't price the Laspistol in the same manner, you can either buy a single Laspistol or three Lasguns. That's absurd.

If the rifles were going to be around 25-30 creds, the Lasgun could have been 15 and it'd be fine, with the Laspistol at perhaps 10 credits (leave the basic Stubgun as the 5 credit pistol).

*Why, God only knows. Escher were a fast agile HTH gang in Oldcromunda. Not a rifle shooty gang.

Forge World have released an updated Escher equipment list which keeps the lasgun at 5 creds. So it has survived the FAQ and an updated list, I think its time to accept its intentional

Well, there is an oppoturnity to spam lasguns with escher, that still does not mean that other options are bad. Autoguns have more shots and shotgun more strenght. Just like in the mordheim, where people played mostly skaven with slings, fire and movement are the key.

I've always known it was intentional. Doesn't mean it was a good idea.
