Howdy all,

So been a while since I updated. Been slowly painting all my poxwalkers, its a slow process, but they're lookin good IMO. I also got to test paint a single cultist... I'm slowly building my paint collection, its slow though, so bear with me. I've also gathered 30 plaguebearers, a scrivener, a ton of nurglings, and more to add to my army... nothing too special, but I wanna get all mu cultists and walkers done before I dive into the larger stuff (plus it gives me time to buy more paints).

Without further ado: MOAR POXWALKERS!

My first Cultist. I picked an extremely neutral scheme that way playing them as mark of XYZ wouldn't matter much. I like it, though it was time consuming.

What are your thoughts? Also, my wife has agreed to lend me her light cube and DSLR for great pictures once all my Poxwalkers are completed and based. Stay tuned!

Thanks so much York That means a lot coming from you! I do love how they turned out, I still have 39 more to finish though. 20 need based, the other 19 need finished painting and basing. However, I just finished my Bachelors degree, so now I have a lot of free time to paint while the wife does homework!

Finished ALL 48 Poxwalkers (dullcoated, flocked, and all that jazz)! So excited to see all this work completed....

Next up: 39 more cultists, then I get to work on some Plague Marines to get my armored scheme down. Thinking something akin to pre-heresy Dusk Raiders.....

C&C is always welcome!

Finished my first Plague marine modeled after the pre-heresy "dusk raiders". I wanted his armor to look like it was peeling and underneath was corroded armor, befitting a plague marine. What do ya'll think? (sorry for the bad photo quality, didn't have time to set up my light cube!)

I also started on my 40 cultists... I have my first tournament in 3 weeks, so I want to have my Cultists at least done; even if the rest of the army is primed or bare plastic

Howdy all,

Time for a monthly update! Recently I took 3rd in my first ITC tourney, which made me super stoked. My wife (being as awesome as she is) bought me a third PBC, which I don't have images of currently sorry :( She also got me more paints, and a box of Pusgoyle Blightkings! These I turned into Epidemus and a third prince, which were both used in my tourney list. I'm loving all this conversion work I get to do!

So first up is my newest demon prince, Chime: Demon Prince of Nurgle. Chime was once a great banner bearer and bard for the Death Guard legions, playing the song of nurgle wherever he tread. Papa Nurgle loved his music so much, as a price for ascension to demon-hood, he was required to carry the Bells of Nurgle with him for all eternity. Chime is a being of pure corruption, dragging his bells and playing the songs of papa nurgle for all to hear. His legs regrow as he moves, leaving pools of corruption and decay wherever he goes. On the tabletop he is a Demon Prince with Wings, hellsword/talon, and he carries the Corruption artifact.

The pictures are slightly outdated; the barrel was there to hold him up as he dried, the holding points being his bell and the leg of GS. Hes dry now and holds up just fine. As well, I removed the toothpicks from his top; they were supposed to be bone spikes, but I didn't like how they turned out. Instead he looks kind of like he has a plague hive, which I like.

Next up is a nearly completed Foul Blightspawn. After looking over my previous marine, I really didn't like how he turned out; he didn't have much depth and it felt too.... busy. So I simplified the color scheme, and instead of "reinventing the wheel" I used a dark Death World Forest as the base color, and the results I really liked. All thats left is dullcoat and some flock!

The only things I would really change with this guy is that his orbs don't have the green dots on the sides; I was trying to simulate the tanks of the original model, but it looks pretty meh. The next one I'll leave them all black with green gloss, or I'll paint the tanks various hues of green with the green gloss to simulate the ooze inside them. Otherwise I really love how he turned out!

Last up is my version of Epidemus. like many, I hate the original model; dude looks like a big pile of ass on some nurglings. I also wanted mine to be more unique and fit with my established demon prince theme... so, I used a pusgoyle blightking kit, added some plaguebearer bits/death guard bits, and wala!

This is also slightly outdated as well. I have since removed the front claws to make it look less tyranid and imposing (dudes only str 5 after all), I also modified in some more tentacles in place of the claws. Lastly I added more nurglings, so I'll remember that dang rule.

C&C is always welcome!

Another quick update!

Traded my buddy some Plague Marines (because who uses those anyway? lol...) from my Dark Imperium/normal box for a spare Rhino, Bloat Drone, and poxwalkers I owed him for before.... of course, I had to nurgle-fy it! Take a gander

Thanks for stopping in Kernal! I got him primed up and in my Queue, after I get my bazillion plaguebearers completed the princes and Epidemus are next Can't wait to get to them, but I'm enjoying painting the PB's!

Speaking of Plaguebearers.... another update, I got 6 of them done; need to finish the bases, and maybe rework the pox pustles (I don't have a yellow... so I did neon green with a wash of nurgle rot), but they turned out better than I hoped!

Last pic is a finished one next to one I blocked in, but haven't finished.

Overall extremely pleased, these guys take a lot of work, but the results are awesome. I really like the new PB's versus the old ones!

Thanks for the comment York!

Yes, I recently took 3rd in an ITC (they weren't even primed back then lol) and used the money I won to purchase some army painter green primer and some more paints. Finished em yesterday and they're gonna hit the table for my next battle report here in another couple weeks! Plaguebearers are amazing, I wish I had 30 more, but alas.... adulting sucks.

Howdy all,

So I've been working diligently the past 2 days to finish my Gnarlmaw, and after much work, he is done! I also got around to finishing some Nurglings and flocking my spawn and plaguebearers, so I got more photos of em all. Couple notes: 1) sorry for the bad photo quality and weird lighting, taking cell photos sucks (one day I'll bribe my wife to use her camera...) 2) once I applied dullcoat my blood effects gloss went away for the most part, as well as the nurgles rot on all the pustles. Lesson learned! I wanna send a shout out to Winterdyne (who posted his Oldhammer nurgle army) for the inspiration and motivation to complete mine.

Without further ado.....

Everything looks great, especially Gnarlmaw. But I'm more stunned by the fact that it even exists as a model... GW have been raising their game during my years in the wilderness I'm going to have to seriously check out what's out there now.....

Yes, the Gnarlmaw is an incredible model, and I'm excited to have painted one; really want a few more, too bad they're not as good as their AoS counterparts Still... I would recommend anyone who can build and paint one just for the experience

Thanks so much York! I will agree, my skills have improved; partially because the demon models are so much fun to paint!

That said, yet ANOTHER update! I got around to priming all the rest of my stuff, but also I painted one of my demon prince conversions! I think it turned out pretty neat

Thanks Boss man! yes, I've been trucking, lots of progress these past two weeks. My wife wanting me outta her hair sure helped I'm not sure if I'll press finishing all my princes, or start on the PBC's next... choices choices.

Howdy all,

Short update; getting a game in sunday, started some work on a PBC. Think I got the armor down to how I like it, just needs rusty streaks added. PBC's are a lot more work than I figured, took 3 thin base coats to cover all the white primer! Take a look.

Hey Fango thanks for stopping in! Yes, Sennacherib has some awesome stuff! I have his bookmarked

As for an update, I finished my PBC today. I think it turned out exceptionally disgusting. I went for a "wartorn" look, but heavy corrosion, rust, and lots of blood on the tracks from all his victims. I also painted the head with a lot of nurgles rot (AKA Puss) and painted a lot of eyes. Makes it creepy as hell. The only part I wish I could redo was his teeth... but oh well! I need to also get around to taking some high-res shots of everything, my cell makes a lot of stuff look kinda... meh.. in comparison to in person. I also need to finish up his magnetized guns; but that will take like 30 minutes tops. I wanted to get photos up of him

Please leave some C&C

Howdy all,

So TREMENDOUSLY HUGE update here. Please bear with me, because this is a massive one.

This month was a big one for painting because I have an upcoming ITC tourney... and then I changed my list and got some new stuff so.... there goes that! haha. But it doesn't mean I have slowed down, not by a long shot!

First up we have my second coverted Foul Blightspawn, I call him "Mega-Spawn" (because I like megaman...). He has been based since these pics

Second set up, I painted my five blightlords which I was gonna use.... Not gonna use them currently because my list idea kind of fell through (Typhus + Blightlords didn't work as well as I figured lol). However, they turned out FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC! Bases are still WIP

(This was to show how they are magnetized)

Automatically Appended Next Post:
For the second half of my post....

I bought and converted up two Helverins to add to my army for some much needed ranged firepower. I call them Snot (the slimy one) and Rattle (the damaged/dinged up one).

I have a whole story for them but thats for another time...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The last part of my update....

Finished my Plagueburst Crawlers! They look fantastic on the table and can't wait to tear it up
