Is your book by any chance the outdated Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List rather than the current Age of Darkness Army List?

This is likely, as the Crusade Army List came out before the Questoris Knights list was out.

That is probably right

There is an FAQ being handed out at Warhammer World today during their big hoopla.

RIP marksmen vets. At least my mor deythan will continue to function. (I wish I didn't have to use them like that, but such is the nature of the beast at the moment)

Combi-gl and combi-volkite being multi-use is pretty great and actually makes them useful.

Why RIP Marksmen vets? They're still one of the best troop choices from most legions and pride of the legion reamains a boss RoW.

In some roles they will remain, but the primary use for them in my experiences (I use MD, but other legions I play against use vets for the tactic) was for clearing out specialist units with good armor via combiflamers.

It's good to see a very warped application of the rules go away, but the unit might see less play as a result

Same as GW is doing. So? Seeing book was written months ago should they ignore whatever has come up after that?

Is it not awesome that they’re so quick about it?

I'm really happy they did it so quick. It's much better then leaving it for months for people to argue the "intention" of rules. It's clear now, I hope they continue with it.

Is the FAQ available for download yet?

No, the process of uploading a PDF seems very difficult for FW, as evidenced by the rarity of said act over the years.

Also, they may be adding more to it.

Graviton Imploders no longer wound on armour saves, but instead use the same to wound mechanic that all other grav weapons use. This makes me and my Myrmidon Destructors sad..

Alpharius? Never heard of him.

I didn't like GWs graviton rules - they rarely made sense to me.

Shame the wording of the graviton rule means the GI can't cause wounds at all since it doesn't use a template..

The short answer to this problem is to say "caught in its blast" is flavour-text-speak for "hit", given that it isn't how any other rule in the game refers to blast templates (the Blast rule uses "Blast template" (capitalized) to refer to the templates, for instance).

But yeah, it's ambiguous and could stand to be errataed.

Tbh Imploders were Insanely awesome and the obvious choice for Destructors. Now they are still good just not the far and away best choice.
