Will the rules for painted army and Wysiwyg be strictly enforced? There were quite a few unpainted things last year.

Will model base sizes be enforced? I have an old Be'lakor model that came with a 40mm base but the new ones come with 60mm , do I need to upgrade the base?

Thanks man! The team working on the space hulk has been very busy. We will post pictures of the hulk next week after we go public with it.

Also, we are two weeks out from Gencon now, 13~14 days away. There is still plenty of room for players in both 40k team event and the MAGS finals. List for both events are due this saturday by midnight for review.

The rules of conduct for players states that there is a zero-tolerance policy for cheating. Should players assume this is the policy regardless of intent?

For example: if a player fires a weapon at 30 inches that actually has a 24 inch range, will that player be removed, reported and banned immediately? Even if it was an honest mistake?

For example: if a player claims a model has BS3 and it's later revealed that the actual value was 4, will that player be removed, reported and banned immediately? Even if it was an honest mistake?

There is a difference between honest mistake and cheating. If an issue comes up, judge team will make that call if and when it is necessary to remove a player.

Gencon has nearly sold out of its badges for the convention. Mainly the 4-day badge and saturday badges. If you plan on attending, you need to get your badge as soon as possible!

Excellent event, I had so much fun. Is there a website to check out all the pics and videos? Possibly the live stream replay.

I walked by the area a few times. The space hulk set ups looked fantastic. The terrain and painted armies I saw were very nice. Tons of knights from what I recall, but I didn’t look at every army.

I hope you had a good turn out.

Lots of knights present. If you didn't bring something to deal with them you were in a world of hurt. The Doubles event that ran on Thursday had 20 teams from what I remember. Singles had about 50 people playing on Friday (not sure how many came back on Saturday). The event organizers put on a great event and it's something I look forward to every year.

From what I could tell by the Best Coast Pairings app:
42 players participated in the tourney.
11 of 42 didn't come back on Saturday, with a 12th person only playing 1 game Saturday morning before dropping. Over 25% of the field didn't play to completion.
25% of the total field was Imperial Knights.
50% of the top 10 was Imperial Knights.

7 - Tau
8 - IK / IG / Custodes
9 - IK
10 - Necrons

Personally, I find IK to be unfun armies to play against. I'm glad I ended up skipping.

Yeah it was 42 players, 32 on Saturday. My list was fine against knights, except the Valient that thing ruins my day.

It wasn't as bad in the Doubles tournament (what I played). I'm glad my buddy and I played Doubles this year since we didn't bring any knights to fight the knights . . . .
