Well, I usually wait until the layer of dust has reached a certain height, then I start to sell off the individual models (not the army itself.)

I usually start by talking to people who play the same army in my local gaming club. This works for the big things, but usually not for infantry.

Then I hit the forums and maybe put a post on eBay. I don't like shipping, it's the packing that gets to me.

At the end, there's always stuff left over. Have thrown out a few models that no one wants. It happens.

I've gotten into an odd habit of accumulating models for the sheer purpose of building an army in order to sell it.

It's quite enjoyable. I can take my army ADD and let it run wild, and end up making a fair amount of profit to fund projects I'm more interested in.

It probably helps though that I waste a LOT of time looking at what other people are buying, what's hot, what's coming up, and what's getting dogged on and seeing major reductions in price.

How you make profit on though? Unless you make good finds on buying used I guess. At least here good luck generally getting more than 50% of RPP for assembled and painted. Unpainted maybe get some but not much.

Considering time spent seems awfully inefficient. Unless you paint it good enough to actually make profit from painting(and hour rate be good enough) but that's another thing altogether.

I've got pretty good luck on finding things people are getting rid of, be it online or in person.

I also tend to build these armies up over time. Patience is a s must in this case.

We have a lot of gamers in our local area that army jump, and often unload their old bits for absurdly cheap prices. I'm more than happy to support our local stores in this case!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
