I thought about those. With base 2 attacks and a chainsword they're stuck with, they're actually more effective than a lot of things would be. They'd probably beat out IG Veterans, for example.

Fair point.

What we need is a unit that's overpriced for a really bad statline.

Vespids? Do we still have stats for those?

My shout, Malefic Lord.

Think about it.....post ridiculous points hike and the ML not periling.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

Falls foul of the no character rule, but not a bad shout on his cost.
He'd kill a pair of jokaero in 12 turns and take half a wound in return, give or take.

Quoted for truth! I think they are 3 points now and definitely not worth it at that. 2 attacks is good but I believe they are S1, so cannot wound ANYTHING on better than a 6 (on the bright side they wound a Titan just as easily as if it were a Gretchin...).

Speaking of Grotz though, they may actually tie with Brimstones, at S2 but 1A, and WS5+ ... actually, they manage to be worse than Brimstones for the same price (kind of makes sense since they get a gun and Brimstones don't, making Brimstones still easily a worse unit but for this competition we discount shooting...)

OK, I Nominate the Grotz...

When proposing Flamers I thought about Brimstones first, as well. But I thought you can't take these as a unit anymore, only through split.

Interestingly enough the Jokaero v Jokaero fight would end in a draw in this format. After 10 turns it's highly likely they've only stripped 1 wound off of each other, with neither being dead.

Joke answer: Spore Mines.
They have the weakest statline in the game. Even worse than gretchin. Buuut they don't get to use it because they always explode before the fight phase starts. So I'd say they don't count.

Technically they explode if there are enemy models within 3'' at the end of the charge phase, so in theory if something could pile into them from more than 3'' away they would have to fight...
