Anyway, cool to see an aquatic race. Perhaps we get some octopuses like in good old Ogre Battle. :-)
From the hints we have they aren't going to resemble Naga, so that's out. Also Tyranids looked dramatically different than Zerg after StarCraft, the earliest Nid designs have more of a resemblance to Zerg aesthetics and even then there's very little comparison beyond both being biological. I'm a bit curious how GW 'always likes' to incorporate Bliz's work into their lore because I'm pretty sure that isn't true in the slightest.

Can I also point out the Blizzard copy GW, not the other way round for the most part. Warcraft was created after wanting to make a Warhammer game, but GW refused. They came back with a concept for 40k but GW still weren't interested so they made Starcraft.

I used to think StarCraft was based on 40k too, but I did some research and found out it's just an urban legend. Particularly early development images have little to no resemblance to 40k.

At any rate I feel it's safe to assume that the new faction won't resemble warcraft Naga.

Pretty sure the inspiration for the Tyrannids are H.R. Giger's work, especially as seen in the film Alien.

My local red shirt told me quite a lot of people in GW headquarters that never were truly interested in AoS become quite amazed with the Idoneth models and changed their mind.

Nothing sure but after seeing the new Daughters of Khaine models and the Kharadrons i'm quite curious about them.

Also he somewhat said a probable starter box near july with Stormcast vs death but of course it just red shirt rumours so always take it with a grain of salt.

I hope that the coming Necron v AdMech box does well enough for GW to push GW down the line of thinking that posterboy factions aren't a necessity for every starter box. Sigmarines are a great way to start AoS, and do a better job of being represented in their own game than Space Marines do in theirs, but I'd like a little bit more variation.

I’m a 40k player but I’m super keen to see what these guys come out as and might be the army that gets me back into Sigmar. I’m fruitlessly hoping for a big ship that’s gliding around on a magical wave. That’d be sweet

An underwater aesthetic would certainly make a splash.
