My favorite version of the Oblit was CSM version 3.5 codex. Only Iron Warriors could spam them and it just so happened that at the time the majority of the developers who wrote the codex played Iron Warriors. Oblits were a natural T5 and multi-wound so only force weapons and S10 could insta gib them. They had power fists as well and could morph all the best ranged weapons each turn including twin linked meltaguns and plasma guns.

Bow down to Guilliman for he is our new God Emperor!

Martel - "Custodes are terrible in 8th. Good luck with them. They take all the problems of marines and multiply them."

"Lol, classic martel. 'I know it was strong enough to podium in the biggest tournament in the world but I refuse to acknowledge space marines are good because I can't win with them and it can't possibly be ME'."

DakkaDakka is really the place where you need anti-tank guns to kill basic dudes, because anything less isn't durable enough.

im not sure mark them Nurgle and get extra durability is better than mark them slaanesh for extra shots and you need to spend a detachment (fortification network) to get the tree, am i right or using Slimux ability wont let you spend that extra detachment?

You'd do this in a full Nurgle army, which would have some extra synergy beyond just the 0+ cover save (most notably Epidemius).

You can get the tree without the Fortification network, but you have to save reinforcement points in Matched Play to be able to have Slimux drop them. But honestly, you could probably get away with just 2 of them, so that's 100 points of reinforcements, which isn't bad at all.

It lets the save on a 4+ vs Lascannons, which is pretty impressive.

Until the Iron Warriors or Imperial Fist show up.

Slimux spawns a tree into existence so as long as you have reinforcements to spare it’s fine
