God damn what a painfully boring series this was, it's great you guys/gals enjoyed it, but I was soooooo bored , JJ mum was about as interesting as a cardboard box, lesbian lawyer was interesting at least, the rest was totally forgettable.

Finished it up recently...

The writing and the acting was supurb imo... my only gripe was that at this stage, Marvel needed a 'big baddy'.

S1 was great because of David Tennet's character was a gripping bad guy, whereas in S2...
Spoiler:
JJ's mom was the "bad guy"... but, not really.

But, man... I'm crushing on Krysten Ritter!

I think that's why S1 of Dare Devil series was so good... because of Kingpin.

I feel it worked on an Iron Man 3 level. Rather than being about the big bad outside, it was our heroine facing the Big Bad Inside - trying to prove to herself that she is a good person, despite previous actions.

Currently re-watching Daredevil.....man, Marvel needs more Wilson Fisks!

JJ was her own enemy in season 2. Or maybe her past. Either way I think that they pulled off no big bad really well. I think if you give her something to punch Jessica gets to ride easy mode because she's a wrecking ball and that allows her to go hard at something without thinking about herself. At least Netflix Jessicas only tough enemy seems to be her.

Season 2 is my top 3 for Netflix marvel series. Punisher is #1 and DD1 and JJ2 are interchangable as 2 and 3.

And they used JJ's Mam to show what she might become if she doesn't hold herself to account.

After all, her Mam was mentally unstable due to the experiments. She shows genuine remorse when she settles down each time.

She's everything JJ fears she's becoming. A dark mirror held up, which helps her find her centre, and be in control.

Iron Man 3 was a standard Shane Black film that begrudging had to pay lip service to the fact that it was an Iron Man film in the MCU. It was also awful.

JJS2 was not awful.

Oh thank christ, someone else. I was beginning to think I was the only person on the planet who didn't like IM3.

Not even close to the only one. I was all set to respond to Grotsnik with "but Iron Man 3 didn't work on any level" as I scrolled down, only to find I'd essentially been beaten to it.

The only thing about IM3 that rated above a "meh" for me was that I watched it in 3D in the cinema and some of that was, I felt, some of the best executed 3D I'd seen, from a technical standpoint.

I think people like RDJ, and Stark/IM is good in other Marvel films, and consequently forget that IM1 is the only one of his dedicated movies that doesn't suck balls.

I dunno, I quite liked IM2, mainly for the "super nanny" comment, Ruskie Rourke, and how deliriously cringeworthy Hammer was. Not the best Marvel movie by any means, but leagues ahead of IM3, but that isn't a popular view based on what I've read.

Iron Man 2 had him and Warmachine fighting a bunch of robo-drones in the climax. That was worth the price of admission alone (Scarlett Johansson didn't hurt either!).

Iron Man 3 had Warmachine painted blue, and he did nothing. And a nonsensical suit (yes, the version of my suit with 40 individual pieces that all have their own power supply, propulsion system and guidance system is a wonderful idea! It's also not complete and doesn't function properly, so I'll wear that as part of my home defence!).

Yup. I was pretty much sold on the film just by the clip in the trailer from that scene of Warmachine shooting three things simultaneously in three different directions with the arm & shoulder guns

IM 2 was fine. Not great just fine.

IM# is not the worst movie in the world but definitely the worst MCU film imo.

It does a lot of pointless stuff and introduces some game breaking elements to the MCU that thankfully they just ignore going forward.

Cause hey, Tony stark fixed Extremis and thus more or less cured all ils in the world. Extremis needed to have major downsides that couldn't be solved. Instead, Pepper Potts and Tony Stark are technically immortal right now.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
