AnFeas - that's why I'd have no problem if Scourge or Hawks could still manage a Deepstrike Assualt. They aren't a threat.

I have had my Swooping Hawks assaulted by Scourge on numerous occasions. But always by the same player. And only because my Hawks asssaulted his Scourge first. "WINGFIGHT" has become a tradition of ours (late game).

Why does that just give me a mental image of them, like, ineffectually slap-fighting, but with their wings?

Because that's, effectively, what happens.

Neither have CC weapons. Neither have lots of attacks. So even trying to kill eachother, it really is a slapfight, but with their wings.

It usually doesn't end by end of game. *Maybe* an unlucky break on 6E/7E after some bad dice rolls...

Great times.

Yea.. I'm gonna have to say that this is one of those proposals i would pass.

As said before, apart from a few exceptions (Bloodletter bomb, BA strike) most things that come out of deep strike to assault have to usually go through the hurdle of that 9" charge. Which is hard even with re-rolls.

Gunline alpha strike on the other hand laugh at this rule as this doesn't change a thing. They can just hold out for the first turn as their army deletes all the screening units and then just do a bomb on the second turn without any problems (HELLO SCION PLAMSA BOMBS, IT"S LIKE YOU NEVER LEFT)

In fact, these rules and the GW beta rule actually make gun lines soo attractive that if this rule was to be put in @ it's current rule, then you can see that gunline army's would be the most dominate meta, that and speed first turn armies as they just laugh at that deep strike rule

(congratulations GW, you made Slaneesh better at first turn assaults than Khorne. That takes some serious effort to screw with the supposed most close combat army in the game)

IG, Tau, Eldar, even friggin tyranids could benefit greatly from this change, some armies would benefit so much that they would be in the meta for a LONG time (Thinking about you IG, you 30" vostroyan long range laser lights and your non LOS artillery and your Leman russ tanks that could delete entire units off the board without fear of a retaliation)

I can guarantee you all, if this rule goes through. The meta will change to either a Gunline army or a hyper fast mobility army that benefit from extreme movement speeds
