You appear to have forgotten about breathing there buddy...

...but please, far be it from me to discourage you from continuing with that trend

With respect, the 'Forge World have changed a rule for a GW model' comment seems redundant also. They're two departments within the same company, writing rules for the same game. I get that on several occasions, it has looked like staff don't always communicate things fully with each other there, but do we really think that they literally don't talk, compare notes and agree on this stuff the *majority* of the time? O.o

Actually we've had it from the horse's mouth that it's often the case that FW doesn't get much of a head's up about anything.

I mean they literally just about finished Fires and were told to scrap because 8th was coming out in a few weeks maybe?

I'd heard that a lot of the issue with FW books/rules of late (Fires especially), was in great part the loss of Alan Bligh? He was certainly the heart of their writing team, and his death hit just prior to 8th launching.

It was a combination of both, but what I said about Fires being just about done is correct.

Can you give me a rules citation for this?

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"

It's a future-proof way to solve an obvious problem. All future Dreads made by both GW and FW are covered by this.

Anything else would have lead to something being transported that should have or something things being unable to transport that should go into the stormraven.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
