I would say either regular knights or sitting somewhere in between. As a model it looks fantastic, but it lacks the variety and number of overt weapons to make it a real battle platform like the new knights are.

Then again Tyranid titans have only a pair of primary weapons too. Still I'd think a mini-warlord equivalent necron construct would be far more armed in weapon variety.

If it gets titanic weapons (i believe it will) they will do double damage against titanic units.

I'm thinking it will likely have a handful of weapons options.

Probably some kind of Heavy Tesla Cannon
2d6 Str 8-9, Ap-1, 2 or 3 damage sort of deal

Or basically Gauss Exterminator Equivalents

Macro d6, Str 16, AP-5, 6+d3 x2

Probably has a smaller weapon or two as well, but we'll see. I'm pretty stoked on the model regardless.

I wouldn't count on this being as good as an imperial knight. I highly doubt it will reach that power level.....look at the monolith for crying out loud. That should be equivalent, especially for the points cost, and it's not even close.

I honestly wish I knew what they were thinking with the monolith. But I have to believe that this thing, because its forgeworld, is probably going to have some power to it. Real question is price point.
I should mention, for what its worth, it will probably have living metal.

I've been nothing but disappointed with the monolith since I started 40k. It's a huge floating building....it should be tough and have some good firepower....it's the most iconic necron unit.....it needs a complete over-haul and a huge point cost reduction. I don't know if the canoptek construct will have living metal. Nothing canoptek does yet....so? Honestly, Living metal isn't really that great by itself. We severely need some anti-vehicle/mc firepower though. Here's to hoping, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Living metal allows your unit to get repaired by the fabricator claw array of the spyder and the cryptek cloak restores wounds, both will give you back 2D3 lost wounds.
