I'm in the process of reading Magnus. I bought the limited edition because I have a problem with shiny things, but I was a bit perturbed at the amount of errors I've found in it... most notably the sentence "this volcano is going explode". I mean I'm no English-ologist, but I'm pretty sure that sentence doesn't make sense...

That aside, I am really enjoying the book. I recommend it.

Think they meant erupt lol

Nuh uh, he meanted exploded. "This volcano is going exploded."

I imagine they meant "going to explode"

Haha, yeah, that's the intent no doubt, but man, limited edition and bad editing! I know people are just human but Magnus would not be pleased ;P

I'm enjoying the series so far. I won't buy them all, but so far i've read and thoroughly enjoyed Magnus, Perturabo and Lorgar.

Magnus and Lorgar have some of McNeill and Thorpe's best prose writing for BL so far. The stories provide a satisfying level of depth for being so slim.

Perturabo was my first Guy Haley, and I thought it was brilliant. The 2 interlinked stories worked well. The Hrud are interesting baddies, and Perturabo's backstory on Olympia is one of my new favourite bits of the lore.
