I'm rather partial to the Angharad Brightshield model:

I think it gets the balance right between obviously being female and actually looking like a proper badass warrior rather than a cosplayer/stripper. And there's no extraneous detail or silly flashy/swirly bits to indicate she's some sort of exceptional character. She's not a one-off token warrior-woman in a world where every other person with armour and a sword is male (*cough*Valkia*cough*). She's just a fairly standard Stormcast Liberator who happens to be female. She's one of the very few female miniatures GW have ever made where her gender is merely a secondary characteristic rather than her defining feature (*cough*Morathi*cough*). More like this, please!

I wouldn't think that was female unless it was pointed out.

You don't see the feminine facial features, chest, thinner waist and legs at all? ok...

Personally, I'm split between Alarielle and the Melusai. I just love their composition and style. I'll try and post some shots of my Alarielle later.

Not sure how to respond to this, honestly.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

I assumed mine was Shadow Queen Morathi ... but you know, I think it's still Drycha Hamadreth:
Spoiler:
Just really a fan of her composition, the stark texture differences, her background, etc.

Aside: This 'Eavy Metal paintjob is probably one of the most boring I've seen, there are some really stunning mecha-Drycha out there.

To me this is the golden standard that I hold all the AoS releases to. Simply perfection.

Assuming the post I quoted from actually used the model in the picture, no. The helm is the same as all stormcast, the thinner bits don't say female to me they just seem like normal Stormcast bits. I see the discount boobplate but I that's it.

Here's a screenshot of the other helmeted liberator from the warband. If you seriously can't tell the difference between the higher cheekbones and thinner face of Angharad's mask, her thinner waist and legs, then i believe you're just being deliberately obtuse.

Side by side the female one is definitely thinner and I'll agree that there are obvious differences but to be honest I still think obviously female is a stretch. You could just as easily convince me that it's an elven and human stormcast.

Maybe it's just I don't like stormcast in general?

I really like the morghasts, allopex shark, spirit hosts, most of the undead stuff. My favorite would be the varghulf if it was plastic. It looks so cool in total war, and the blanche art. But the model being resin with those thick wing membranes is eh.

Whatever Whether you like them or not shouldn't make a difference in being able to tell a man from a woman.

In other news, here's another favourite of mine. I just love the sense of movement in her

Shame they didn't give him any damn rules.

He can't be dismounted from the Skycutter.

I know! I wished that the new GHB would give him a profile and perhaps another command ability. Alas, the faction focus only hinted on point decrease for Shadow Warriors.

The old dark elf executioners are also nice looking miniatures. I honestly prefer them over the new ones with skull masks.

It has got to be this guy- the most "Warhammer" warhammer model ever made. The assured pose, the absolutely heavy metal aesthetic - this guy is the supreme badass of the Warhammer world.

I posted this a while back on the projects thread, but I still think its one of my favourite GW miniatures ever.
So simple but something so menacing about him. Plus a great mini painting wise as lots of potential for various effects.

There is something wonderful about a simple but effective character. I find a lot of stuff GW does these days (AoS is especially guilty of this but WHFB wasn't and 40k aren't free from this) really has a bad habit of overdoing and oversizing characters.

I much preferred when Archaon was just on a horse, and while the Logan Grimnar model is cool I hate that they stuck him on a huge power sleigh.

So in the spirit of simple but beautiful:

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Krieg! What a hole...

The previous line of Empire Greatswords, who wear actual full plate armor, the plastic ones are nice, but a bit unarmored d'or my taste

That said, my Count Champion looks awesome, but he is a bit of a kitbash
