Also the Engine of destruction rule is rather good, especially as that extra attack will more then likely end up going to the Titanic feet, to result in 15 attacks with +1 to hit at strength 8, AP -2, damage D3. Enough to put a dent in most things.

Add in the Trail of Destruction stratagem, and that thing can kick a titan to death.

Hehehehe. Yeah....umm....hehehehe....

GW are still trying to forget Chaos Knights are a thing then, even though they produce a conversion kit for them.

I would have liked a CC option for the Dominus, but I suppose the kit dictates the rules. Happy to have access to the big guy though, gives me something to use my Dreamforge Leviathan as

Good news: Chaos gets some updated Renegade Knight stuff, including the two new knights. Bad news: No chapter tactics, and the only warlord trait and relic options are terrible.
Unlike Imperial Knights, Renegade Knights can use the BRB Warlord Traits. That means you can have a Renegade Knight that is more resilient than a Taranis Knight.

You can have a dominus class tougher than a House Taranis? One with 2+ armor 3++, FNP, If it doesn't explode recovers with D3 wounds, and for another CP can fight at top line stats again? (yes thats a lot of CP, but it is possible)

While playing all knights might make you THAT GUY at a flgs, bringing a lone knight and 2 armigers and actually getting CP for it has a place in casual games, I think.

Which is clearly evidenced by free rules for Rengade Knights.

Good argument. 10/10. Would listen to again.

No. Really.

Despite the existence of free rules for Renegade Knights that might make some say your argument isn’t exactly grounded in fact, I support you.

It's feasible for a 2,000 pt knight list to have 17 command points now.

IK Superheavy detachment with 3 Gallants
IK Superheavy detachment with 1 Errant and 2 Helverins
AM Battalion detachment with 2 commanders and 3 infantry squads

It doesn't really get you some ideal knights and very few carapace weapons, but that's 140 wounds on the table and you'll dominate the close combat phase.

I'll bet his next post accuses GW releasing free rules as a cynical money grab .

That’s not a Knight army though, because of the Guard.

Chaos Knights Aren't Renegade Knights. Last edition wasn't that long ago

Other than that tiny distinction, you're 100% correct

No, Chaos knights had their own set of rules, including the ability to take marks/dedications to specific gods, so a Khornate knight was different to a Tzeentch knight and they were both different to a Renegade knight. Broadly speaking renegades had flexibility of loadouts and Chaos knights had their godly superpowers.

Then 8th hit and GW decided they didn't want to bother with Chaos Knights and just made them all Renegade Knights. Chaos as a faction still had access to knights but the extra flavour of being able to dedicate them was lost, and it seems it remains lost

Yeah, definitely would be great even for Ad Mech aligned Knights. And the good news is, you can do the opposite with the Onager Dunecrawler top and the Armiger legs to make an Ad Mech AT-ST!

Now that's an idea. Could be good for an allied Admech force.

The Onager Landstrider.

I wish I could claim that I came up with it, but after I posted that, I looked on Google, and there it was.
