Of all the races of the universe the Squats have the longest memories and the shortest tempers. They are uncouth, unpredictably violent, and frequently drunk. Overall, I'm glad they're on our side!

Been fan of her for...oh about 6 years. Enjoyed even more of her performance when she went for stage/musicals and when I heard she is also expanding for solo singer been waiting for debut song. Taste of which now came. Matured quite a bit and with more freedom for type of singing helps a lot. Just need to figure out what version of CD I want to buy. One with DVD or one with book. Darn money making schemes of not having way to get both without buying 2 cd's...Grumble grumble.

One of my favourite female vocalists is lovely Elize Ryd from pop metal act Amaranthe. However since Amaranthe has three vocalists (!) she perhaps gets to shine more as a guest vocalist in other projects, like here:

Or here where she sings in Kamelot:

SEVERAL really great vocalists listed already, and two that I detest SO MUCH that I'd walk down three flights of stairs to turn off any device that was playing their songs.

What to add without locking up the work comp with a million YouTube embeds?

Laura Branigan. Self Control is one of my all time favorite songs, and there hasn't been a cover yet that can improve upon what she's done with any of her songs. RIP

Michelle Branch. I love her voice, I love the fact that she's a legitimate songwriter and musician. I was hooked before I saw what she looked like, so I have to fight constantly against accusations of only liking her "because she's hot".

Amy Lee from Evanescence. How did it take THIS long for her to get mentioned?

Hayley Williams from Paramore.

Kelly Clarkson. Sigh.....

Pink. I love her voice but am really not a fan of the style of music. She needs to join a punk band.

Judy Garland is my name. Mostly because she's my favorite actress and I love watching her singing and dancing.

I'm basically a metalhead but I adore Lady Gaga, and she did an impressive singing performance in A Star is Born. A couple of songs are absolutely amazing, especially if you ignore the voice of Bradley Cooper.

I'd choose something from Summer Stock, since it's a heavily underrated musical:

And a hit from the recent version of A star is Born:

Surprised Postmodern Jukebox hasn't come up yet, considering how they've got rather more popular in the last couple of years. They work with tons of vocalists, men and women as part of their whole genre-bending deal, but there are a couple of standouts.

I'm a huge fan of Orianthi's guitar shredding skills. And her voice is good too! After that, Avril's early work was always enjoyable.

And her sister - Boh Runga:

Susan Trucks (nee Tedeschi)

I used to have such a crush on these two:

No Susanna Hoffs?

Sandy Denny got all the hype because she did 'Battle of Evermore' with Led Zeppelin but I think Maddie Pryor is the better singer:

Yes it has - I listed Miche Bradon - who I first learned of on the podcast Clockwork Cabaret - who described Ms. Bradon as 'Nina Simone with a Mohawk!' Postmodern Jukebox is awesome!

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.
