If you have the app, there is a Facebook group dedicated to scanning AoSC cards. The apps scanner will be able to read the cards on a computer screen. I just spent an hour scanning several posters photos of the booster cards. It's a quick way to bulk up your options when you start out. It will scan the cards multiple times but only count it once.

What I wish they would do away with, are the avatar cards. I feel like they are a waste of space when I could be getting more cards for my decks. Why can't I unlock the avatars when I get the corresponding card?

I've had to delete and reload the game twice now. It gets stuck in an infintie loop when it's trying to reconnect after a certain number of plays (far as I can tell it's not a specific number of plays).
Doesn't matter if I'm on wi-fi or not.
That loses all your advances and you get to start all over again.
If I had bought stuff and scanned it in, I would likely be very annoyed.
It's a fun enough game but I'm not sure I'm going to load it again.
