Any wizard in a Tzeentch army can take one spells from either the Lore of Fate (for mortals) or Lore of Change (for daemons). Since Archaon has both the Mortal and Daemon keywords, he can choose a spell from either lore.

Got them painted finally if you want to check them out they are in my gallery.

Vigo. Spain.

Very good job Xenomancer. Gosh, they are impresive models.

Someday I'll buy them... someday...

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Good work, Xeno. The kit is on my wishlist, but I can't justify the price tag right now. Varanguard aren't really very good for their points on the tabletop, and my tiny apartment is running out of room for display models.

Thanks guys!

I can always use them as Choas Lords but in that comparison I am not sure the lords are much better than the Varanguard. Each Vguard is essentailly 93 points compared to a 140 point lord. They don't have a command ability or regerneate wounds but (especially if playing with archaon) I think they will outperform the lords.

Also - Everchosen and STD are going to get an update in the next 3 months. I am hopeful that they will get some love. For now - I am just going to keep painting because that is what got me into these guys anyways.
