Yes, but to make them more deep than just glorious fluff SM super duper troopers, a bit more realistically speaking there's such concept as ambush, you can't always have a clinically shock troop scenario, where they can drop pod and kick some ass then go home early, no ..some times there are difficulties involved like intelligent enemies that lure them into a trap ............OMG!!!!!!!!!!

Can those missiles auto target enemies out of sight, like behind a big hill?

To be fair, according to the 4th ed apocalypse rulebook (1st ed apoc) there’s more rosariouses in a Guard regiment then in a space marine chapter. Since every priest comes with one. I’ll double check the number later if people care.
